I downloaded Planeshift CB today. I am witnessing very very bad performance in some areas. For example, there was a sewer i found with rats in it. This place seemed to go very slow. Outside the sewer it was going fine 30+ fps. My graphics card is only 32mb, would that have something to do with it? Got any ideas for me to fix the performance? I\'ve tried a few things and cant get it to run much faster.
Edit: My system specs may be able to help you help me:
Windows XP Home
512MB RAM
2.4 GHZ Pentium 4
NVidia GeForce4 MX420 32MB Graphics Card
Cable Broadband Connection 512kpbs

Just realised it only happens in areas which have light... HELP LOL
-
make a shortcut to psclient.exe
go into properties under \'target\' go to the end of it (after the \" ) and put -nolightmapping
-
k ill try wait a sec
-
This message appears when i tried what you said:
The name \'\"C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\\psclient.exe\"-nolightmapping\' specified in the Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct.
-
Just add a space between exe\" and -nolightmapping:
\"C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\\psclient.exe\" -nolightmapping
BTW: do not make so much new replies, use \"Edit\", if your message is the last in thread.
EDIT: (like this ;) )
Note: IF the game would be updated to newer version today, this option will probably change to -fullbright.

ok tyvm it worked now... i feel noobish but meh it works fine.

i\'m getting the same bad performance problem as snake except the -nolightmapping thing doesn\'t do anything to the game! i\'ve tried it and nothing happens! plz someone help me
-
-nolightmapping has been renamed -fullbright, so if you were using it, update your shortcuts :)
-
-fullbright doesn\'t make much difference to the performance... maybe only 0.2 fps but thats all...
is there any possibility of the makers to try improving the performance of areas like that sewer?
