I believe you have to make sure you have this file:
http://radyr.cardiff.sch.uk/~peter.jenkins/vfs.dll (http://radyr.cardiff.sch.uk/~peter.jenkins/vfs.dll)
Download it and put it in your main PS directory, replacing whatever version you may have. Any good?
-
But before you do that run the updater again, tell us if it says if there are any more files to download. Once you have run it once if you download any files run it again just to make sure.
-
Well i downloaded it and replaced it witch the old file but now tere\'s an other error...
You can read the following in the psclient:
SCF_WARNING: factory returned a null instance for crystalspace.kernel.vfs
if error messages are not self explanatory, recompile CS with CS_DEBUG
WARNING: could not load plugin \'crystalspace.kernel.vfs\'
Couldn\'t load VFS plugin \"crystalspace.kernel.vfs\"!
ERROR: csInitializer::SetupConfigManager failed!
Is your CRYSTAL environment variable set?
Exiting Planeshift. Press Enter...

that message also appears when i\'m starting the updater

Which is why I told you not to follow Karyuu\'s advice, but does anyone listen to me?
What you should have done is let the game update using the recover mode, now you are going to have to get the old vfs.dll (assuming you didn\'t download the old vfs.dll before) and replace it with the one you have.
Once you have the right dll then run the updater on recovery mode but until you get the right dll then you can do nothing (unless you want to reinstall the whole thing.)
-
Yes but if i wanted to start up the updater, when ive had the old dll, the scf warning also appeard.
my plan B is to reinstall the whole game so just wait for other messages after thats done.

You got the SCF warning when running the updater before you even replaced/edited the dll?
