Fall Damage needs to be re-evaluated. I die now from a 2 meter drop which is crazy. Also, it is impossible to enter the sewers/dungeon because that drop kills you.
-
try training some endurance to increase max hp... i think i have ran around much on the new version. if i am remembering you need about 70hp to make it into the dungeons.
-
I agree that damage might be re-evaluated.
As a Kran, my character is unable now to jump even short distances on stairs without losing 20% of hit points, which I believe (but unfortunately have no way of knowing) is about 30-40 HP. Since Kran are supposed to be basically men of rock, how can rocks hurt us? No longer can I make the jump into the dungeon, which is fine...but I did enjoy mining down there as well as running from various monsters.
This concern is true for my Enki character as well. Though the penalty should really be a lot less for Enkis, since cats can jump great distances without injury, instead it was 30% for the same jump and I didn\'t attempt to jump in the dungeon because that walk back is long and hard on the eyes.
So, perhaps it should be race based? or just a flat 10% for this much...30% for that much....and death for all others?
(A dice roll with a limit of these %\'s is probably required here.)
Frankly all this reality is interfering with the make-believe.

When I WALK down the stairs in the arena, I lose 10%!

As an Enki, I have a long trip from home to the Arena. How pleased was I that my regular run down the first staircase gave me a express trip back to the DR??
Death by bounding down the stairs?
/me searches for the stair trainer

if we could institute a \"/trip\" command, we could have the most unique method of PK anywhere

As with many things theres much balancing to do, however, this is not a bug.
*expects a move at any miinute*
In my opinion it too is to sensitive, In reality, when i bother to go out I\'m pretty careless over speed height and distance, and often fly off of drops stairs and the likes of bungalow roofs much to the same heigh as the roofs in hydlaa, yet i dont feel a 20% drop ;)
I guess over time it will be worked on to sense wether your falling[ uncontrollably or dropping/jumping
-
I tried yesterday with a female enkidukai, completely untrained in anything, so in fact basic stats. A drop from 3 times my height caused me to lose about 30% of my HP which seeems almost not enough?!
So is fall damage itself race-specific now, or were there already adjustments?
-
While this is not a true bug per-se, I would consider it MUCH more hindering than any bug i\'ve ever experienced. Maybe we could create a Forum called
\"Incredibly rediculous balancing issues that can be fixed unbelievably easily, but will not be dealt with for another 3-4 months\"
I know that the devs do this in thier free time. And I am eternally greatfull, but maybe we need one dev who can focus on these very simple yet cripling issues?
I have ton of free time, and I would gladly offer my services, but im afraid I dont have any skills that would be usefull to the team.

Honestly, I think the problem is that fall damage broke in the previous release. Just before that, things were added that were never fully tested. When I repaired the fall damage detecting code, I just got it back to the status quo; which was the \"new\" state that existed previously. Basically put, these sort of complaints should\'ve been happening a few months ago. :/ Now, we just have to poke whomever has to screw with it...
-
Fall damage is very unsupporting for RP. If you have a high agility, you should be able to do flips in the air or something, and from your nimble movements you shouldn\'t take damage...I mean especially Enkidukai, who are like felines that always land on their feet, and are very flexible...
-
/me looks around for somebody to poke.

Even 81 endurence is not hight enough to enter in dugeon.
100 is needed !
This no more a game...
This no more a game... Calling that an update is to take player for dummies.
Next time creat a mirrors for beta and invite some player to test before creat such chaos!
-
This was never a game.
This was always (regarding \"Crystal Blue\" at least) a \"pre-alpha technology demo\".
pre-alpha < alpha < beta << release

To Brasero, and other idiots:
1) You are a beta tester, not a player. You are here to find bugs, not to complain like a child. Play the game, and have fun, but remember why you are here: The main server IS the test server.
2) We were going to do some internal testing, but some idiot discovered the new port. That was the end of that... :/
3) Balancing is needed. Fall damage broke a while back, and it hasn\'t been done yet as a result. Be patient.
4) Take a look at BugTracker. An insane amount of bugs were fixed for this release.

i have to admit I was wondering about the physics ingame myself (the fact that I\'m a physicist may be somewhat correlated).
But since this is not our world we\'re playing in there is no need for gravity to act as it does on earth :)
Of course it would be easier if it would be at least comparable to our world. And to be honest, newtonian physics isn\'t that hard to describe (as copared to GTR (general theory of relativity)) and implement in a program although the calculations might get somewhat complex and thus time consuming the closer you want to get to a realistic physics system.
You could for example adjust falling damage to mass-of-char and flexibility (in terms of material (flesh or rock or whatnot) and physionomical considerations) and many more things which will never be implemented anyways (I guess that\'s a topic for the CS devs not PS).
