Title: something unexpected happened
Post by: dermilchmann on October 30, 2005, 03:10:25 pm
Hello,
i have a problem to join in the game for the first time.
I updated PS already, but when I tried to load the game the following  box appears
something unexpected happened in Planeshift Crystal blue. Details: 0051F91A
Would you like to save a diagnostic file?
I have chosen \"YES\" and now? What could I do? I found nothing in the Forum. Please help me. I only want to play.
Thanks

Try these things, in order:
  • Run the PlaneShift updater.
  • Turn off sound in the setup.
  • Update your graphics drivers.
  • Pray.

Maybe your Hardware does not meet the requirements. What about your CPU, RAM, graphics adapter?

ATi Mobilty Radeon 9700 with 128MB. I thinks thats enough.
Does anyone Know what \"Details: 0051F91A\" means?

Hmm... well, you can try the 3rd party drivers.  (Click Here (http://planeshift.oodlz.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=18749&boardid=17))  But, last I heard the newest 1st party ATI drivers should work.

I don\'t understand your question.  What do you mean? I download it then I installed, then I updated, then I updated my graphics drivers, then again with omega drivers and now Its the same problem.

I\'m asking did you DL the game using Bit torrent or a mirror, and if a mirror which one did you use 1 or 2? (On the Down Load Page)

Run the PlaneShift setup utility (Start -> Programs -> PlaneShift Crystal Blue -> PlaneShift Setup, if you\'re on Windows) and click on the \"Skins\" button, choosing \"Stone\" from the drop-down menu in the window that comes up.
