I know there is loads of posts about an update but i cudnt find the answer to my problem ne were, wen i first downloaded PS the game wudnt open at all so i click update and when it got to 100% it said checking for updates may take a while but i was waiting for about an hour, so i closed it, but now the game opened but i cannot get past character creation every time i click next nothing happens just stays on the same screen, is it to do with the update or my computer?

Hi, and welcome to Planeshift.
Please try to write in more or less proper english, because there are a lot of non-native english speakers on these forums who might get confused by those strange abbreviations. (besides that it\'s pretty annoying)
About your problem:
I\'d try to run the updater once more, to see if it helps.
Other things that often helps are turning off the sound in the setup window and updating your graphical drivers.

The answer is in your own post -- you closed the updater before the update process was finished.

go take a check at the read this post in the help forums, the one about changing update server... for the next update things should run smoother, though when that will be....

The update has now completed but still i try to create a character, and when i click nect nothing happens, it just stays on the charcter creation screen.
