Title: updater problem
Post by: Gorzhuul on November 07, 2005, 09:18:55 pm: when i click update it sais \"updating registry\" and then the updater closes and when i launch PS it sais \"cannot connect to server. Im confused............

Post by: Nilrem on November 08, 2005, 03:45:47 pm: Try to launch the updater in recovery mode, avaiable from the start menu.
Make sure you report here, at the forums, the errors that appear on your screen; I think you\'ll be able to find the messages on updater.txt inside your planeshift folder; also, make sure you let the updater do its job, since if you close it at half updating process the game won\'t work till it\'s fully updated.

Post by: Gorzhuul on November 09, 2005, 08:30:14 am: i found out it was my firewall preventing it from updating....luckily i was playing a cd game online and it told me my firewall was blocking it.....and then i tried the updater without puting my firewall up again and it worked :D

Post by: zb1000 on November 10, 2005, 07:16:54 pm: i am currently experiencing a problem with the updater where it downloads the registry checks for updates, finds the updates but then when it completes the first item it ses it is done and saves the updates but everytime it ses i still have all these death relm things to update. Any ideas?

Post by: r.guppy on November 10, 2005, 07:57:23 pm: It might be that your DeathRealm.zip is corrupted, try dragging it out and downloading a new one it is big though, its in art/wolrd = 17.1MB. :))

Post by: zb1000 on November 11, 2005, 06:13:31 pm: yeh i have 3 versions just incase but one main 1 that i always update so i updated one of my other versions and took the death realm.zip from that and now it says there are no new updates so thats good.
