Just a simple question : do the weapons\'s range work ?
-
No, but the distance between two objects do (You\'re too far away to attack ...)
-
there are no ranged weapons except for 2 magic spells.
-
For exmple if i have a claymore, am i able to keep myself safe from my ennemie if he has got a pair of dagger ?
-
no
-
I\'m wondering...is there going to be a long range weapon (bow and arrow) going to be implemented soon or not
-

Haha!
Looking for these?
? ?

NOOOO...
I HAVE DAGGERS!
GLADS HAVE LONGSWORDS!
-
well, you gotta look at the flipside: while they do have bigger swords, it will take them more time to weild them. you and your quick daggers can jump in and out for attacks before they can hit you once (but mind you, their hit would probably deal more damage)
and that\'s for the distant future when stuff like that is implemented. i\'d probably say around Planeshift v. 2.056
(which! by stunning coincidence, will most likely be when the game is finally out of pre-alpha and beta modes. 2056. XD)

Version 2.056... Probably released in 2056

Well...
You know, the Devs are currently putting a huge amount of effort into the NPC client.
When it has been running, I have seen many changes to the behavior of my targets, and to effective range and behavior of my weapons as well.
With the completion of the new NPC client, I look forward to seeing my pet trainable to attack, and have player-editable response phrases and description as well.
I also look forward to seeing new Glyphs become available, training limits increased for Dark way, and Will, and with only a little bit of luck, shields and hammers, perhaps even melee weapons, Herbal and Farming skills, could come online.
Judging from the speed of change that I have recently seen, the Devs might even bring us all of these lovely presents in time for Christmas.
I prefer to be optimistic, you see. :)
