I am also getting that access violation error, right as the game is just about --------- far away from entering the game, im trying the recover mode updates, and it seems something messed up on here now, the
psssetup.exe stopped at 75% and three . . . i dont know wuts up, i just got this game too, someone plz help me.

It would\'ve been far better for you to post this in a thread that already mentioned similar errors, since filling the forum with numerous threads of exactly the same error report does nothing to expedite the fix. Make sure you have already disabled sound through PlaneShift\'s setup, and try changing your active mirror in updaterconfig.xml, found in your main PlaneShift directory (from \"1\" to \"3\" would be a good choice.\")
