Title: Nothing on Server

So I just logged in, and yes I understand the game is in its infancy, but what is there to do? It would nice to have a stick and a shield or something to wack critters with to somehow make money and progress in the game....

Or am I way off?

You can have both weapons and shields, though the latter are only decorative, and you can fight and mine, training your skills and stats along the way. Have you read the Player Guide (http://www.planeshift.it/guide/en/index.html) by chance?

an important thing you can think about it talking with other people.
Unless of course you like to ; kill monsters, rank up, making money with no other purpose than to have a better weapon to kill more monsters to rank up again to make more money...

If it is your description of roleplaying, good for you...But give a try to exploration of a magic world, talking and share with strange cultures and beliefs
