Who bought a 360? what do you think? what games did you get?
Also, what do you think aobut elder scrolls oblivion. I say it is the most beautiful thing ever to have been created in the from of a video game. No offense PS.

People completely bought out all the 360s and are selling em on ebay from like 1000-2000 dollars!!!
My friends brother slept outside a costco and bought two he sold one for 900 and the other for 1250...

i wont get an xbox360 either, for i never pay for microshit stuff. but one game will be available that must be kickass: need for speed underground 3 - most wanted.

And don\'t think you\'ve found the perfect person to start a discussion on that matter, and I also don\'t think you\'ll ever find Windows installed on his PC. Nor other MS programs. I guess it\'s personal.
Don\'t know, I am not a console fan, I really can\'t see their meaning. So you\'ll never find a \"360\" in my house. Ok, I understand, a portable console is ok, good for roadtrips or other moments when you\'re traveling or not home, and want to play or make the time \"fly\" faster. But a console for your place? Meh, for the ones who just want to play, a PC will be better than a console, maybe they\'ll start learning something.
Oh, but if I\'ll ever be forced to buy a console (in case someone will stay with a gun targeting my head and say he\'ll blow my brains out) I\'ll sure go with Sony. Why? Because it ain\'t Microsoft. It\'s Sony.

thanks for backing me up annah - btw, nice to see you around again ;) as i wrote above, i have windoze on a small hidden partition on my laptop for the stated reason. its a minimal installation only with gfx drivers and what else is needed to play games. the instant i can have the games i play on linux, ill use those 10GB for linux too ;)

well there is a reason - not for a 360 but for consoles in general: the games are customized for the hardware and will always run smoothly. i can not say that about my 2 years old laptop, im already getting problems to run games like doom3 (runs nativly on linux - /me bows to ID Software). so, when PS3 hits the market, i might consider to buy one.

Oh yeah, I had almost forgotten about that ...HORRIBLE bad nasty horrible evil bad Nintendo controller. What the hell are they thinking. Did they interview 1000 die-hard gamers and ask, \"What, in your opinion, would be the most awkward, unusable, and downright UGLY gamepad design concievable?\" ...and then made it, as well as 100 extra attachable accessories that would make the gamepad somewhat bareable to use, but you have to BUY each of them seperately. Psychos.
As for the 360... I got nothing. Each to their own. Sure MS is evil, but hey, their stuff still works most of the time. And if it works, I\'ll use it. And no, Windows causes me little, if any, problems.

Well yeah the paddle for the Nin Rev doesnt look beautiful... Though it does have a power button right on it.. and I guess if you just turn it to the left(counter clock wise) it turns into an NES controller :).. Maybe if sony would have been a bit more original in the beggining and had not taken Nintendos design for a paddle and made it fit to your hand a bit more comfortably then Nin would still make that type of paddle.. but who knows. And yeah I have windows on my comp... and yup plenty enough Viruses.. more then I would like. Linux is by far more stable and not nearly as stupid (ok because of the many viruses I have had.. my comp had to be redown numerous times and each time we have to browse the internet and look up all the drivers for it.. and if you get the wrong ones it just freezes up.. after doing it a few times it gets a bit aggravating).. though you cant play all your games in Linux as of yet so I have to keep windows around for now.
Oh and has anyone heard that there have been quite a few early reported glitches for the Xbox. Oh did I think that was great :)... nah I wont buy them, they dont have enough RPGs for me.

yeh, i guess im the only person that actually is rooting for the xbox360, from what i can tell, it looks like an awesome console. And about the whole nintendo tryin new things, deffinetly didnt work with the nintedo ds. That is the worst handheld console EVER the psp kicks the crap outta it. I think thats prolly what will happen with the revolution also. Nintendo just keeps trying to enhance they product with some stupid gimmic like \"touch screen\" or their new controller, which all end up sucking like a bucket full of ticks. Sony and Microsoft are sticking to the same old console, but just improving on the graphics and games. Microsoft is gonna end up winning anyways, thanks to its Xbox live, and of course, halo2. Sony is also in trouble because Bill Gates said that he is launching Halo3 around the same time the PS3 comes out, and theres a good chance Halo3 will be alot more popular than the PS3.

I just got a chance to play 360. I have to say the graphics are good, but dont expect anything new. I mean, its the same old stuff: some FPS\'s, a Tony Hawk, Need For Speed, etc blah blah blah
Better graphics, same old stuff. Dont waste your money yet wait for some good original games to come out and the price to drop.
For now i\'ll be happy playing battlefield 2 on my computer, and ill probably pick up a copy of elderscrolls oblivion when it comes out on PC.

Have you seen any sales figures for the DS lately? Nintendo is touting it as a huge successand its bringing in big profits. I have a friend whos a diehard sony fan... bought a PSP and sold it a month later. I asked him why and he said he never played it, no good games.
Maybe if you owned a DS and had played through some of the better games such as Yoshi: Touch and Go and Metroid Prime: Hunters you wouldnt call the touch screen a gimmick. It allows for a style of gameplay that has never been possible on any system before it.

Maybe thats true... however nintendo has always made the best product though they dont have the game developers. But considering I had to buy 2 PS1s and 2 PS2s because they are crap machines that are not reliable. They have nice RPGs which will be one of the reasons that Microsoft wont be able to push them out so easily. And yeah nintendo owns the hand held department.. the PSP doesnt have near the battery life and whatnot.. and truthfully I dont know one person who even owns one :P... but oh well.. either way im sticking with Nintendo.

Plus consoles are great!!! these next gen consoles offer insanely high quality for an insanely low price to an insanely high number of people!!! A PC that could even dream of playing something that the 360 and the PS3 can play, would caust at least 2000 dollars! So why the hell is everyone calling it a ripoff!!?!?! Hell, most people dont know anytrhing about computers, so the 360 is a godsend to those of us who dont feel like dealing with all the problems, expenses, and confusing aspects of a computer, whether it uses Windows(which I never have any problems with BTW), Linux, Mac OS or whatever.
So to all you 360 haters out there....YOURE FIRED as trump would say.

My roommate has one and we have been playing it a lot recently. Right now the only game he purchased was Perfect Dark Zero and it\'s the one of the best xbox 360 games from what I can see. PDZ is just like the original for the n64 plus some added things and like the Goldeneye for n64.
Yes the graphics are nice, but they can be pushed a lot harder. The general power is compared to 2 7800gt in SLI and doesn\'t show much yet in the games from what I can tell with the small things in the games. But overall, the 360 is a fire hazard. I would not buy it yet. My roommate was lucky enough to buy a working one, but this is a rushed Micro$oft product. Hell they even skipped some beta testing. My advice if you want one is to wait later for Micro$oft to properly correct the issues. You will be taking a risk on it if you buy the ones coming out before Christmas.

Good. That\'s the one game we ordered. Don\'t get it for a while though...but we still play the regular game. That and rush 2.

And of course, bnoth the system and the games will be come cheaper and better as time progresses. Everyone just wants to be a cynic about it when they really lack the xperience to make any valid argument. Heck its been out for about a week, the guy doesnt ven own one, how could he possibly rwrite anything with any knowledge behind it. He can\'t, and therefore he is an idiot, and then Valbrandr, no offense, says the article made his day, which made me a little mad that the guy is even getting support.

To say that it is complete garbage is false - the 360 is a powerful gaming system no doubt. And while its core stats may be somewhat worse than the PS3, that doesn\'t mean the system won\'t turn out better in the end. PS3 of course uses a revolutionary new processor architecture which increases its theoretical power well beyond the reach of the 360, but it is an extremely new system and that means game developers need to learn to develop for the new platform - this might not be good if its too hard to do - thus lowering the number of available games for PS3. On the other hand if the developers don\'t have much trouble, then they also have a much more powerful unit to count on and can probabily do some neato stuff ;)
Besides all that I there is some anti-m$ sentiment when it comes to the 360 and I\'m inclined to fall into that category as well, though I appriciate the competition - it makes all the products better. As long as there is still sony and nintendo in the game systems market, healthily competing then thats good. If M$ rises to dominance in the game system market it would be devistating as the lack of competition would massively slow down new developments.

Alls im saying Gentar is that I hate microsoft... and when they try to take over the gaming market it basically pisses me off. They own the PC world and now they are moving to console? Personally I think that they shouldnt be allowed to.. looks like they are trying to move on to becoming a monopoly :(.. And I do have alterior motives, I dont want Nintendo being pushed even further out of the picture :(. But I have heard many stories from a variety of differnt people abotu the 360.. mostly on the news and whatnot.. nothing good :(

I always wait for the bugs to get recognized and fixed in game consoles. These mad rushes to buy new systems always amaze me.
I would like to see people boycott brand new systems. When the console companies realize rushing products is hurting their initial sales, they would quit rushing and release a more decent product.
I recognize MS for what it is, but I live in the boonies where my DSL provider doesn\'t support Windows. I don\'t have the skills to set Linux up properly(because living in the boonies means no support for Linux or Macs). Therefore, I must run Windows. I keep experimenting with Linux, and one day I will be Windows free.
I will buy an Xbox 360 at some point. I want to play Oblivion on console. I will buy it for PC for the modding, but from what I\'ve read(and heard in the Oblivion videos on their website), Oblivion will have modding capabilities through X-Box Live.
I like to play on consoles because(as previosly stated) the hardware is focused on gaming, so games run smoother, controllers react better, and when you beat the game, you beat the game. I like playing on PC because I believe I have more control over things with all the keys and 180 degree mouse turns.
MS will win the game console war because that is what MS is good at. But we can always hope!

Screw Micrsoft and screw Sony. I will never buy either console. Why? Because consoles suck. I don\'t care for arcade-style games, which is really all consoles can do. For the GOOD games you need a PC, with a keyboard and mouse. FPS games don\'t work well using a gamepad, you NEED mouse-look to play them properly.
Also, I\'m a Linux guy. I don\'t pay MS for anything and I don\'t pirate their products.
