Post by: Watcher on November 25, 2005, 10:33:25 am: It appears to have been snowing in Wales and my school is cancelled due to lack of staff. Please post your snow stories here.

Post by: miLosh on November 25, 2005, 11:13:47 am: whole bern is covered by snow too, it happend over night. it was funny to see once again how the city is catched by suprise when the first snow falls: busses where late, same is true for trains, and its always funny to see cars trying to get away when the lights turn green and their wheels spin in place.

/me might be in such a car next year when he finally gets his driving license *gg

Wouldn\'t it be cool if you could ski to your school/work? Lift to get home included, of course.

Post by: steuben on November 25, 2005, 05:07:58 pm: coming up to almost 25 years ago now. but once had a storm so bad that it left a 2 story snow drift behind the house. snowed us in for for a week and change. stormed for 4 days, break for 4-5 hours and then closed in again for 3 days.

wish the clan had thought to get pictures of it.

at the first flake every one of them runs around headless going \"OMFGG WERE ALL DOOOOOOOOOOMED!!!!!\" then all get on big roadways and all drive at like 2 MPH because there afriad there car might slip on the 3 flakes of snow.

I on the other hand become inable to move since i laugh so hard at the peoples reaction on the news....

We had snow drifts higher than 10 feet and at least 4 feet of snow everywhere else. Spent the whole day using my dad\'s backhoe to plow the driveway (it\'s a long driveway). It hasn\'t snowed too much this year yet. Maybe a half dozen snow storms so far.

I just got a 2 post car lift up in my garage....too bad it\'s fricken freezing outside. I wear 2 pairs of gloves, 2 jackets, and 2 pairs of socks. I hate it. Turning wrenches with no feeling in your hands because of gloves sucks.

I can\'t wait till I get out of college and can move south.

I\'d love to, but I doubt I have the artistic talent for that :( By myself I could make a kick-ass obscure lump of snow though.
Any finnish sculptors around these forums who could help me out? ;)

Ok who pee peed in your corn flakes. There are disasters all the time. :/

Can\'t you look at the beauty of it? It provides Sleigh rides for the kiddies and families, ice skating, snow ball fights, sleding, snowboarding, skiing, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, snow forts, snowman/snowwoman, and snow angels, etc.

Plus what would the polar bears, seals, and arctic animals do without the snow huh?

Blah .... negitivity...who needs it! :/

I still do dislike snow, it is cold, ends up wet, and ends up ugly. All the same, I do appreciate that some people love it.

Congrats you two :)

It seems that the tide has changed. When I went outside this morning, I was shocked. Temp is above 0 C and all the pretty snow is melting and turning into brown sludge ;( (sludge... is that even a real word? ^^ )
Must... make... the best of this...

While he was in a nice warm coat and mittens shoveling away.... I was in my jammies and slippers singing at the top of my lungs with my new ipod .... sweeping (not shoveling) the snow off the walk. I LOVE WINTER!!!

Some possible evidence for the weird weather caused by global warming: it has been hailing and snowing here in San Francisco. Now it rains here regularly, but it NEVER snows! I\'ve lived here all my life and it never snows below a couple thousant feet above sea level. Now the snow level is less than 1000ft. and kids in the street are throwing slushy hail balls at each other.
