1) Defensive Wind makes more difficult for melee attacks and projectiles to hit you.
2) It doesn\'t affects you because you are in the eye of the storm.
3) You can\'t cast it on anyone else because you create a wind aroud you. (Besides, non PvP interaction would prevent it also.)
So, you should be able to stand by a fellow to protect him, as long as he is in the eye of the storm as well ...
Does this has been already implemented? (for the moment it is not a wish, but if it hasn\'t, it becomes immediately one :) )
Conditions to protect someone could be:
- He is close to you ( < 1 meter), in the eye of the storm.
- You have typed \"/assist Mypal\" just after having casted Defensive Wind.
- Even with this, if your pal move away from you, he endures effects of the spell (malus, etc.).

Interesting idea... I was also hoping for mass attack spells etc. A spell that attacks multiple players in 1 go...

ok after browsing a bit and using the search option, it seems that this thread fits best what I want to speak about...
The key point is magic, no just vague rambling about 'we want news spells" because this is so commonly agreed that it is not worth mentionning it,
but adding MASS SPELLS, that is spells that have effects on a whole team (mainly the party members) or the attacked monsters.
Imagine the meteor spells on 5 monsters at the same time, this would be impressive...
But on a RP side this could benefit many usual PC class that are (yet unfortunately) completely missing from ps PC. The first
example which comes to my mind is the so called 'healer class', such characters are indedd very usefull when forming parties with low or mid players as they back them up and
enable them to fight harder monsters, moreover such characters are supposed to belong to some relligion (I just mention Menlil and his potion or Sharven and his) or 'nature' friends. Here the simple point of enabling such spells (or creating them) would also enable RP and the spawn of new class/relations in PS especially with parties.
Why parties ?
Because in mmorpg it is (to me at least) a very important point and atm in ps
one can fight his ulber alone (after many nights of training though). It is very frustrating not to have to
join parties to improve one skills or just even to have fun with new people...
I would also like the /show_active_magic command to work , that is to see if my 'defensive wind' add something ...
Lame suggestion for creating mass spells:
maybe combining more glyphs of the same type would enable a 'mass' version of the spells.
1 glyph -> basic spell
2 glyphs -> same spell, cost less mana
3 glyphs -> mass spell, high mana cost
4 glyphs -> mass spell, normal mana cost
Such a system would force people to seek more glyphs for getting mass version or higher versions of spells.
Anyway, this was my 2 cents ideas for ps. :S

hmmm...well, this would work but it would make sense that lets say...when you reach lvl 10 red way, you can combine two fire glyphs, but also, remember, there will be other spells that will be mass spells to begin with
