Title: Got a problem, would like help

Ok, so I just downloaded the game, for Mac.  I\'ve followed the instructions.  I opened the game, and I can\'t create a charactor, it says the server is down when I try to ping it, and when I try to change the settings, they always revert to what they originally were.  Any advice??

as far as the whole server is down thing.. I suggest waiting a while and then trying again or something like that. But about the settings thing, not a clue

Hi there,

I\'m not sure if you haven\'t already tried these things... Chech out the thread \"IMPORTANT: A guide to running PS on MacOS X.\" You can download a program called updater.jar (a java updater written by ChaOs). Try running this updater as well as the standard updater. Us Mac users encounter many unique problems, so you may find the Mac forums useful in general.

I hope things work out!

P.S. You may find that pssetup.app doesn\'t work. You will probably have to edit planeshift.cfg manually using a text editing program.
