Title: NPC chat problem
Post by: merlin3000 on December 01, 2005, 07:38:49 pm: I have returned to the game after a few weeks without played.. but now when I talk to a NPC it will answer me only if I say \"hi\", \"bye\" or something that it doesn\'t understand.. if I say something like \"How are you\" it will answer \"response to how you 0, 100\".

What seems to be the promblem? Is the npc server beeing updated?

Post by: DaveG on December 01, 2005, 08:46:02 pm: Oddly enough, NPC dialogue is handled by the server and not the NPC client. (NPC client runs NPC perceptions and movements) The NPC dialogue is being worked on. If you can post here which specific NPCs are having glitches like this, I can poke the people working on it.

Below You can find extract from my log. Usually all \"new\" NPCs (which don\'t talk too much) give this kind of responses. Also, questions about certain races are answered similarily by all NPCs, You can find names of all races without description below:

And as of today, Worren still says "response to how you 0, 100" when you ask "how are you?"

Post by: Venae Rell on August 15, 2006, 12:28:39 am: I was just speaking with Jayose and he talks about himself in the third person when one asks "about Hydlaa." Maybe that's just how he talks about himself, but I thought it was a wee bit odd :)

Jayose: You can visit old Jayose and get some rare books, or go to the great Iron Temple, dedicated to Laanx.
