Title: Pointers (arrow) and Character problem
Post by: Felix Yellowhair on December 02, 2005, 06:12:38 am
I am very puzzled.   I have one character, a menki, who is stuck in the entrance to the dungeons.  The pointer is not connected to the regular mouse arrow.  It moves in a haphazard motion and I can only slowly write messages and commands.
I tried doing /unstick 3X and nothing happened except it said I move back (actually stayed in the same spot.   I can not move forward or turn around.
Everythings is very difficult if not impossible.

Now I also play a dwarf and when I play him everything is fine with the actions of the pointer and the character himself.

I also play another menki (sort of experimental)  but I tried him and he works just fine.

Now both the second and third players experience the usual PS bugs which are current, but the my chief character is just a bomb right now.

I can not see any reason why the last two would work using the same computer and mouse and everything else and not have the first character (the one below) work too.

Sorry ChaOS,  i finally figured it out.   I had to unstick 4 times  before I got sent to another realm in PS.

You can delete this theme, Chaos.   I wonder If I can.

It looks like Larun has been assassinated and put out of action.   ?(

The reason for the slow mouse movement is probably an effect of the stuck character slowwwwinng things down a whole lot.

Just to clarify, did your stuck character end up \"safely\" in the Death Realm?

Yes, the character ended up fully mobile in the Death Realm.

I did run updater.jar and reset the Psclient, pssetup and updater before doing this.
Whether that made any difference, I do not know.  I had done that prior to my problem too.    Well, I learned a lesson,  Anything can happen in PS!

You don\'t need to unstick multiple times to die anymore... just use /die instead. :)
