Post by: sportsboy109 on December 04, 2005, 08:11:23 pm
I am able to load everything alright and I am able to walk just fine, but when I want to talk to an npc it freezes of in continues walking in the npcs direction but I am not able to do anything so I have to shut down my computer. the same thing happens when I want to talk to another character.

Could you please post your system specs as outlined in the user system specs thread? Thanks.

Also, do you have autowalk/autorun on?

To make sure that there actually is a problem, let\'s eliminate all the other options first. In order to talk to an NPC or other character, you have to do one of the following:
* Right-click (is there a right button on Mac?) on the NPC and click on the talk button (the button with a mouth on it);
* Or click on the NPC and press the ENTER key (I\'m not sure how it would be called on a Mac keyboard);
* Or click on the NPC and then click on the box where you type your message (clicking on the Chat window does not do the same).

If you didn\'t, then any keys you press are shortcuts to some commands, like T would start auto-walk and Q would exit the game. It happens to me more often than I like ;)

About right-clicking:

a) Look into your mouse options - the secondary function may be Ctrl-Click.

b) I know that Logitech supports 2+ key mice on a Mac.

I don\'t believe there is a right-click function for Macs by default. I explained how to set one up in a link from the guide, though.
