So, the holidays are coming. What have you bought for yourself, and others? Post pictures or just tell us about it :)
Heres what i got:

-
Here\'s what I got:
-
Wacom Graphire 6x8, and an Iomega 250gb external HD! Can\'t wait till they get here...
-
I kinda don\'t find out until christmas day... that\'s the whole point isn\'t it?
-
He meant stuff you buy for yourself or for other people.

She? Sorry, I didn\'t know, I just assumed. Ill keep that in mind next time :P
-
As for the first:
I don\'t buy myself anything for christmas... I just buy stuff whenever I want it.
For the second:
Yeah... I\'d better start thinking about buying some things for people :P

:D
Ooo and one of my friends is making me a shirt but shes not telling me what it\'s gonna say on it so thats like exciting I dunno why...
-
I don\'t know a single person in the civilised world who buys themselves presents for Christmas.
I do know a present I\'ll be receiving however: Art tablet. :D Wacom Intuous somethingorother. Whatever it is, I\'ve been waiting a damn long time for it, so I could care less about its name and attributes. :]

\"I don\'t know a single person in the civilised world who buys themselves presents for Christmas.\"
I\'ll be buying many things for other people as well, but I need my tablet and harddrive for school. And for fun as well. Mostly for fun. Mmmmm... uncivilized and having fun...
BTW, how do you add quotes to a post?
-
I don\'t buy anybody gifts for Xmass or birthdays. If I wish to get someone something, any day of the year is the perfect time. That said, my brother and I just bought my father this (or similar model) plus a surround system. :)
*edit for above*
[I]posted by someone[I]
quoted text
or hit the big yellow QUOTE button in the post of the person you wished to quote.

the time of year where children are overflowing with ideas and choices to make eh...
I remember how exciting it weas when i was younger, good memories.
hmm, i have no wants that are obtainable in the gestre of gifts this year, honestly, not a thing, I\'m such a git to buy for xD
-
I\'m also hard to buy for -- If I want something during the year, I\'ll usually go out and get it. I have no idea what I might get...
I also have trouble buying things for my parents and parents-in-law, because they tend to act the same way (bah! pragmatists!)... Do I get them a gift certificate?
Interestingly, I\'m seriously considering buying them something very different this year:
Organizations like Samaritan\'s Purse or heifer.org let you purchase gifts for families in the third world on behalf of someone else.
For example, you can buy a flock of chickens or a goat for a family in Central Africa.
So, this year, I\'m buying my mom and dad a bunch of chickens... which they\'ll never see! :)

I have a Wacom Graphite 3 and all I can say is....niiiiiccceeee^_^. You\'re getting yourself one nice present.
As for me, I don\'t have a job yet so I\'m a little out of present giving. I also don\'t give gifts unless I see something they really would like. My whole family works that way. It\'s nice, barring my parents (Who need to give me lots of presents(Subliminal hint, hint)), us siblings get something for each other only if we really think they\'d like it. I never have to worry with that whole \"Gotta get something or they\'ll feel bad\". No, if my sister doesn\'t give me anything, then she just didn\'t find anything worth it.
Not that it means we don\'t constantly shop for each other. My mom comments how whenever we go out, I always am pointing things out and saying \"Wouldn\'t such-and-such like that!.\" and dittos for the others.

To buy, to buy ... this requires money, right? :(
-
now this is a little wierd... (stay with me here.)
blankness was for why i checked something... i just typed out this whole post and either chose delete post instead of deactivate smilies or just back or maybe the forum hates me?
so here it goes again...
smelly ibanez-es the only on worth having is the noodles sig because noodles is totaly cool... but then i know nothing about guitars.
On the gift buying side i managed to spend a few hours strolling round oxford street and a quick ride up to knightsbridge with over 100 quids in my pocket and couldnt find a decent pressant for anyone, i have no clue what to buy for any of my family except my mum i got her desperate housewives series one dvd set thingy.
though by the end of said trip i had managed to buy albums by the Editors and the Rakes (buy one get one half price) Ross Noble t-shirt and some overpriced theatre beer and malteasers.
PS. if anyone has any clue on what to buy for 13 year old brothers who you bought everything you can think they want for their birthday a few weeks ago, 8 year old sisters (girls are just hard to buy for in the first place), dads who have amassed a tally of 43 years and my nan im open to suggestions
-
i hope to get a nokia 770 (http://europe.nokia.com/nokia/0,1522,,00.html?orig=/770) :D
i got my little brother a cool game called tribal trouble (http://oddlabs.com/tribaltrouble.php) and i will get my parents and my gf some nice things, too ... when i find them XD
-
I want a Mitsubishi Eclipse GTS from \'99 (best looking car in my opinion). That\'s because my license is on its way (finally, I decided it\'s time I should drive, so yeah, I started to think less at the people from the streets). I remember the times when DairEve took her driving license. She still needs to show us how she\'s driving. Though, that was around four - five years ago. Huh.
:D
Ok, something else? Meh, I really don\'t know what. I usually am the type of person who buys what he likes when he sees something.
Booiiing, no, not Nokia. Sony Ericsson. And yes, we want to see your girlfriend too.
:P

Clearly. :P Nice guitar, dragonfire999!
Like some of the others in this thread, I don\'t wait for the holidays to buy things for myself or people who are worth giving gifts to (I don\'t have the patience to do that only once a year; I much prefer instant gratification). Though when the holidays roll around I\'ll usually buy my wife a couple of things from her Amazon wish list, and a piece of jewelry or two.
Within the last month I\'ve bought myself a MicroTrack 24/96 (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home/search/detail/base_pid/702520/), a TranzPort wireless DAW remote (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home/search/detail/base_pid/248800/) and the Garritan Jazz & Big Band sample library (http://www.garritan.com/jazz.html). That oughta keep me happy for a couple of months.

I\'m quite hard to buy for at christmas/birthday time. it\'s partly because i\'m fussy. But what I know so far that mum has put away for me is the \'Star Craft\' and it\'s expansion so i\'m happy cose it\'ll be the only decent RTS computer game that will work on my computer with a proper game story and decent graphics *Stares evily at Dues Ex and Zeus: master of olympus* When it comes to people buying stuff for me at christmas or birthday time and they ask me I tell them get me a music voucher or a electronics voucher :D, that way I GET the choice ;)
-
i found this page - all parents should have a look at it :) ;)
