Hi, I just wanted to introduce myself. I stumbled onto PlaneShift and I think it is really cool 8) . I have done some modding for other games, and I know how much work a game can be (even just a part of a game). I commend the people who started it and I am looking forward to seeing PlaneShift continue to grow.

Hello, and welcome to PS!
You\'ve got to be patient to be a member here, just a warning. This game\'s going pretty slow, especially if you\'re a Mac user...
-
Greetings and welcome to the Forums :D.

Thanks guys. I understand about having to be patient (I mean, with a project this huge, and no funding, of course it will take a long time). Thankfully I don\'t have a mac ;), but I do have WinXP and Linux...will it work on WinXP? Or should I just skip trying and just use Linux? Oh, and what kind of help do you think a second year CompSci student who has about a semester of C++ experience would be able to give to this project (I would really like to help in any way I can :D ).
-
I develop on WinXp and the game works fine here.
I think with a semester of C++, you could certainly help us with commenting and documentation if you wished. It isn\'t the most glamorous thing, but it might help you learn how BIG projects are structured and some more advanced C++ techniques.
Thanks for the offer :-)
