Title: New crash

Hello,

I haven\'t found this elsewhere, and please let me know if this is the wrong forum.

Today, all of a sudden, after playing for a few hours, PS began crashing on me with the following message in Terminal:

.....

Bus error

(The ..... above indicates quite a few more of the \"*** malloc\" messages)

This didn\'t happen until I went to the Arena area and seem to happen after playing for a minute or two. My user specs are in the specs thread.

P.S. I have been using the \"load all maps\" and \"-fullbright\" options, running PS from Terminal.

P.P.S. I tried running PS again, and after a couple of minutes I got a system message telling me to shut down my computer! Help!

P.P.S. I am no longer in the Arena area and am no longer having the problem. It seems to only happen in the Arena.

Does it happen when you don\'t use load all maps? That feature has been an issue with some bugs...

I know I\'ve had the same problem with crashing in the arena sense the last down load of updates about a month ago. I found it also happens in some areas off of Ojaroad; specifically near the rouge and bandit. I tried it without the load maps as I go thinger as I though like Chaos it may be the problem but still crashing re-occurs. So, I spend more time than before just role playing with people when I\'m actually in game now. I guess it doesn\'t bother me as much as I can hold up pretty good against most things I encounter and it has added more of a twist to my char. as I may role play his fear or dislike of certain areas or phobia of said areas. I suppose it may change with the next update in the future, but I like to use it as char. development. We can\'t all be super-men/elves. :D

A Crash Log would also be helpful,  I think there are instructions to retrieve them in the sticky threads...

here\'s my problem complete with crashlog... i think it\'s the same as b4b00ns. client opens and closes immediately. i think terminal mentioned a bus error

Hello,

So, I\'ve switched from \"load all maps\" to \"keep maps\" and am still crashin in the Arena. Now I get the same \"malloc\" messages plus the following:

BuildAppearance
:
  Failed to set trait   mesh=\"0\" mat=\"0\" tex=\"0\" shader=\"0.6,0.6,0.6\"/> for mesh.
  Failed to set trait   mesh=\"0\" mat=\"0\" tex=\"0\" shader=\"0.7,0,0\"/> for mesh.
Segmentation fault


I\'ll try it again with both \"load all maps\" and \"keep maps\" set to false.

P.S. Tried again with both options false and haven\'t crashed yet.
