Title: Stamina Problem
Post by: zanzibar on December 12, 2005, 01:22:25 am
This has been mentioned before, but I couldn\'t find the thread, and it just started for me so maybe it\'s the result of a new bug despite the effect being similar.

Stamina is extremely slow to recharge for me.  When I log in to any character, stamina starts off at under 20%, sometimes 20% to 40%.

Turning can drain stamina.

Mouse run does not drain stamina as quickly.

I lose stamina while standing still.

Any fixes?

I have been experimenting with this issue.  I was told this occurs after a crash.  However, I have restarted my computer and created new characters (and with other accounts created for that purpose of experimenting) and they all start with low stamina and nearly dead.  This is something new that will take time to be recognized as new because of similar glitches.

All I can say is:  It could be LOTS worse  >:)   .

Not being able to run anywhere = not being able to do anything if I\'m not where I need to be to do it.

But you can eventually run anywhere.  Imagine someone who has never played this game dying and having to get out of the death realm with no stamina.  That would be LOTS worse in many ways.

I totally agree that the inability to run is very annoying.

Ok.  I\'m still logging in with my stamina in the teens and going no where fast.  I haven\'t recieved a solution from anyone, in game or out.

I have noticed on my PC that if you log out with low anything, even left over night you log back in the same stat you left. so it might be that.

My character has 100+ endurance and actually gains stamina when using auto-run.

I started another character a few days ago and it too started with no stamina / health.

This is actually an issue dealing with the creation of a new character.  I have made a lot of characters over and over and they always start nearly dead and barely able to walk.  This is a highly reproducible bug.

Everyone please go make characters and reproduce this, report it here, so we can get something done about it.  This is not a server crash problem, nor is it related to the stats coming back the same.  It is an issue with brand new characters that has recently developed and needs to be reported.

I don\'t know if this is related, but the same character with the rising endurance has an auto-decreasing mana bar.  Every time I log in it immediately plummets to 0%.  After a while it will show 100% and then plummets again.

The character was made within the last 7 days.

agi: 45 char: 33 end: 116 int: 46 str: 117 will: 36

edit:  My strange mana bar problem was indeed caused by negative mana.  Perhaps the mana formula should have a minimum value of 0?

I have 130 endurance, and I do gain endurance while using auto run after a slight initial drain.  If I start running at 20%, it jumps down to 17% and I start walking again, so I have to wait X number of minutes for it to get to 23 or 24% before using that trick.

*edit*

You have negative mana.  That\'s why it\'s behaving weird.

I\'ve created characters with negative one charisma and negative two charisma.  They both had around negative 15 mana points, and the mana bar did the same thing.

I to am having the same problem. My stamina went to 0% yesterday and it took two hours for it to come back. Logging in and out didn\'t work, I am not even sure why my stamina was so low to begin with. It did eventually come back but it seemed to be used alot more with as you said zanzibar turning around and such.

/me scratches her head

It\'s bizarre.  My stamina drains when I\'m standing still.  Turning 90 degrees drains 5% of my stamina.  It\'s bizarre.

I\'ve had a similar problem with new caracter. With my normal character I didn\'t like the stamina because it would take very long to go down but it takes forever tocome back to 100%. A few days ago it was different it would be drained a lot quicker, but it would rise a lot faster too. Now is back to notmal, Was this an experiment?

I too am experiencing this with my character...If it gets low i might as well leave the computer alone for a great while to get it high enough to play again...oh an when i used unstick (only hit it once) i died and had a stamina of 0%...took my a realllllly long time to get out of the DR...no clue why i died or why it sucked all my stamina...i had ruffly 30-40% stamina when i hit unstick...

yeah, another note...if I die in the DR my health obviously goes back up to 100%...shouldn\'t your stamina do the same?

Today, turning 90% drained over 20% of my stamina, aka all I had left.  Fun fun fun. :-D

spydirweb: Unfortunately  not.

When my stamina fell down under 20%, I stood still for quite a long time. I got more stamina precentpoints. But when i wanted to go again, it went to 0% sometimes! What went wrong?
