Sorry to bother everyone in their busy lives :P.. but sometime before January 7th, I will have another little baby boy :).. but he has no name yet :(. We have been going over names and Justena (my significant other) already turned down cool names like Bury, Thorgren, Vladimir.. and some others :P.. The only names we even come close on are Aiden and Ashton. We are also thinking about Middle names but it is proving as difficult. So I figured I would come here and get some ideas. Here are three suggested names so far:
Ashton Michael
Aiden Michael
Aiden Alexander
Hopefully someone can help :) oh and our lastname is Duckworth...
-
Aww... But Thorgren sounds so fun ;)
I think Ragnar would be the coolest but that\'s a certain turn down xD
And congrats on the baby. Even though children are evil :P
-
Ooh, my vote would go to Aiden :) Or maybe Aidenn, as it was originally spelled I believe.
...*edit* Pre-congratulations!
-
Congrats!
My top two would be Zackery or Vernon
The wifes, Benjamin and Grant
-

Yeah I tried that one too, along with every other Norse name.. She didnt care much for the Norse names.. but she started looking at Celtic names that I wasnt sure of like Torin, Kelden and a few others.. but im still open to more suggestions :)

Name him after one of the PS community, ..., Aeden maybe.

Yeah, or Attack Hamster! :D
-
ppftt...you should just name it after good ol uncle Sep :P
missing that Aiden Alexander works....cause at least Alexander is battleworthy...

^ would be accurate to what i would name em :P
-
Alexander is one of my middle names.
-
Be careful with the name!
\"Ashton Michael\" almost sounds like \"Aston Martin\".
And \"A** Michael Duckworth\" can be abbreviated to \"AMD\".
-
i\'m kind of partial to \"note spelling\"
-
Congratulations!
I think your idea of \"Aiden Michael\" is very nice.
-
Congrats ^^
Eh.. I\'ve tried looking at other combinations, but I didn\'t like any of them.
So, I\'ll vote for Aiden Michael.

I just dont want anything that spells anything funny.. Like ADD.. or something that will be something to make fun of :P.. Justenas younger sister is BLO :(.. bad initials :D
-
Definitely needs to be Farren Kutter Duckworth.... j/k... Hmm... I think... Darius Frederick Duckworth would be sorta cool, and not to bad... Besides naming him after a Persian ruler... Oh well, I already have my kids\' names picked out and agreed to by the preferred mother... It is going to be a while before I have children... We want four children, 2 boy, 2 girls if possible, and we have many names figured out, and one of the sons will be named after me, the other Dante... Dante is a cool name, and it sounds so nice to say it... Girls would love that name I\'m sure. never have managed to meet anyone named Dante though... Oh well.. I still say Darius Frederick Duckworth is nice...
-
name him hacksaw. but if not. t hen you could go with something normal.
depends on where you live though.
where I live, common names are like Justin, Matthew, Mark, Gabe. etc
oh and. it would be sorta funny if your furure son ever asked \"da, whered you get my name from?\" and you said something like \"eh, nowhere in particular, some internet forums I suppose.\" lol
this guy with a dancing ninja signature told me what to call you.. and I had to listen.. the dancing ninja\'s where just too cool.
-
We live in Kansas, USA. So most names that are common are like Billy Bob, Billy Joe, Butch.. anything that most hicks would think of :P.. but i dont want anything normal either :).
-
I was always partial to the name Aravan (are-ah-vahn), just seems cool
-
Well, if looking for not normal, then definitely needs to be Darius Frederick Duckworth...
-
OMG i just remembered!!
Yor son will thank me for reminding you.
Give him a name that starts with A, He will always be first in line for stuff in school, and he will get all sorts of perks.
-
Actually, at most schools they go by last names i believe... at least at my school they do.
-
perhaps, but its been awhile since elementary school..
in my highschool everything is randomly computer generated
-
Heh... well, for most things in my highschool, it is first come first serve... Can\'t get here any sooner then a certain time? Oh well, suck for you then, don\'t it... That and last names, but that also backfires for bad things.... Oh well, good luck with the kid Val...
-
Thanks :)
I could just wait and allow the baby to name himself whenever he gets to teh right age :P..
-
Heh, yeah... until then, call him \"Hey you, with the face\" :D sounds like a great plan... wish I coulda named myself...
-
Aravan (are-ah-vahn)
Im tellin you, you cant loose. that name rocks.
It happens to be the name of one of the characters in fantasy book by McKiernan im reading.
Its got a flow to it when you say it, its catchy.
edit: i think these darned dancing ninja\'s are causing people to take me less seriously. lol they will have to go.
-
Aedenn Aravan Duckworth
Sounds good to me when pronounced right.
Brant Allen Poe Watson.... uh Duckworth
Name him after the coolest person ever!
Knubby Barnuckles Duckworth
Dunno bout this one but the first two are about as good as the last one.
In all seriousness though Aedenn Aracan sounds cool - doesn\'t spell anything at all, Could be called Aravan when he\'s in trouble....
-
Well Justena has one more Idea;
Zaden Alexander
Now I am unsure.. still thinking :P
-
Fond of \"Zephan,\" myself :P
-
just don\'t do what my sister wants to do.. she wants twins, a boy and a girl... gonna name the boy peter and the girl piper... I told her that they will be made fun of their entire lives... until they are older lol. I vote for John Thomas!!!!
tis be my first and middle name.
-
\"Valbrandr 2.0\" ;)
Okay, that one sucks. But if worse comes to worst, there\'s always the PS random name generator. ;)

Uhuh, that thing has the ability to come up with offensive names =)

That\'s utter brilliance! Then your kid has a very unique reply to all those \"My name means \'holy one\' in Spanish! Where did your name originate?\" questions :D
-
Just make sure it doesn\'t violate the Naming Policy ;)
-
You have to be really careful now that you stated that you want a name that\'s very different from what people normally call their children. My mother wanted that and came up with the name Jeppe for me(holy crap have i hated that name.. i can\'t pronounce it correct either..).
Important list you have to consider when you find something which resembles a good name:
Must not rhyme to anything! I hated this as my name rhymes to a few things in Danish which can be corelated to vulgar or erotic things.. i was bullied with this all through my school years until after the puberty age..
Funny initials are a plus :D
I would have loved to have a name which was more epic or maybe even had a deeper meaning into it.
My suggestions: Thorleif

Like Thorfinn. But I guess that\'s out of question :\\
Heeeey, how about Erik? xD
-
Erik could go too :P

Yes, like Thoronador. ;)
But if you don\'t like this one (which I really cannot imagine ;)), just try \"Thor\", like the god of thunder in Germanic mythology.
-
never managed to eat a whole baby, let alone grow and name one.
so, If I had anything decent to add to the topic it would be:
congratulations :]
go for teh Aiden +1
but not Michael, hate that name ><
*wonders how many people click on that... not many*
hmmm, and something (a giant FF8 ps2 case) is beating on my mind (and face, the bully) to make me say Zell
Zell rocks...
-
/me wonders if he clicks on it... i think i have.
i too, like the name Aiden.
-
I like Ashton Michael myself, but I just had a little girl on December 6th and we named her Haley Cheyenne. Sorry not to be of any help but congradulations anyway.
-
Pre-congratulations :)
Anyways, too bad your significant other didn\'t go for the Norse names, but anyway Celtic names are nice too.
I\'d think about something like Bran, which means raven...And you know, Bran Alexander sounds cool :D
Or Ferris, which means rock. Ferris Alexander...Ferris Michael...dunno :)
Anyway I\'ve been looking some up, so if you\'re interested in a full list of male Celtic names --->http://www.20000-names.com/male_celtic_names.htm here you go :)
