Greetings all,

I don\'t know if anyone has set one of these up yet...so I went ahead and did it.

Frappr uses the Google Earth engine to put pushpin markers where everyone resides in the world.  You can add pictures, info, etc. to your individual pushpin.

Long ago, I was trying to make a map for the same reason...manually adding my own pushpins.  After finding out that many forum member names are just made up for fun, I stopped trying to complete my project.  Now with Frappr, most of the work is done by Google.

You DO NOT have to supply any email address to join the site.  There is NO spamming of info to you.  The pushpin markers work on your town\'s location.  For instance, the marker for Escondido is no where near where I actually live.

Hope everyone uses it.  Cool to see where everyone is in the world.

I like it cos its one of the few online thingies that know where my town is.

I don\'t like it cos chinese girl, Sep, Drey or Draklar may try to stalk me down with it.

it would be soo cool if everyone put theirs up and made the map really cool.

i dont think i have ever seen a ps player from my city so it would be really cool to see where all the aussie players live.

put your name down guys, you dont have to sign up either if you dont want to.

well, couldn\'t exaclty work out how to put the pin in the right place, wouldn\'t let me choose my town, i could have done it to about an 80% error ratio of the size of my house xD

but no, it went all stupid and put me in London.

yet another reason why i shouldn\'t try xD

if it was possible i could point you to within a few meters of my front door on that map... not like you\'re actually going to do anything if I did though.

Although it doesn\'t actually do anything more than point a person in the general direction of where we are, for some of us that would be adaquate.  About two years ago well over half the town could lead you to someone who knows someone who knows someone ect. until you could find anyone.  Now half the people in town are... unstable...
