Yes, I know....
Has anyone built the fix for this yet? Is it as simple as replacing a file?
I know the real fix involves recompiling, so if someone has recompiled the program that is broken, I\'d be more than happy to host it until the new build is released.

Thanks for your work, xordan. I\'m stuck in arena for 2 days, I can\'t move because the client crashes :(
-
try quickly changing camera views as soon as the game comes up. I also find that running backwards helps too.
-
psclient.bin: coreanimation.cpp:240: void CalCoreAnimation::getPose(float, std::vector >&) const: Assertion `time >= 0.0f && \"time must be > 0\"\' failed.
Is this the error mentioned here?
If so im stuck on Oja Road and as such can\'t play until said update is released ?(
And i\'ve tried everything from moving backwards to changing camera, resolution, color depth ... Can we have an ETA on the fix?
-
Yes, this is the error and it is fixed in the latest version. For ETA we have a nice saying soon(tm) ;) . This game is a hobby project, people do it in their free time and it is difficult to estimate, how much free time they will have.

Good news indeed! If anything it seems worse as of late--it used to only dump me in the arena, I\'ve now have my server crash in Hydlaa Plaza, on Ojaroad, and a couple of other places.
The Arena\'s the only place that has entirely \"locked me out\" so far, though.
Thanks in advance for your hard work on this. :)

My client had a terrible time of it last night; all of a sudden there were crashes happening all over the place, and finally I too was stuck in Arena. No amount of changing camera angles, running forwards or backwards, disabling sound, changing resolution or swearing seemed to do any good.
In desparation I installed the xp version of planeshift an was able to
\'unstick\' my character. Blasphemy I know, but it did the trick.
Incidentaly, the *nix version seems to render a much prettier world and runs smoother (excepting crashes) and at higher resolutions than it\'s xp cousin :)
Hope this helps.

If you do get stuck just go to #planeshift on irc.freenode.net and ask a gm to move you then you\'ll be able to login again
