Hey all, I\'ve searched the forums and haven\'t found anyone suggest this yet, so if someone has, please forgive me. Also, I don\'t know if this idea is already just taken as a given or not, so please don\'t hate me if this makes me sound stupid.
MY TWO CENTS:
The options in the Char Creation process should be more directly tied to the species chosen. For instance, when choosing where you lived, it makes little sense when you\'re a Kran choosing to grow up in a Kran settlement when the first line starts \"Not being Kran...\" etc. So, I think, each species should have its own specific options for the Life Events, parents, etc., that are unique to that species. Of course some might be shared (All species are likely to have animal trainers in their ranks, etc., or to live in a small house in the city) but their should be more distinct, character specific events and options.
What do you guys think?

Karyuu knows an Enkidukai that was raised in a Dermorian village :) Species doesn\'t really matter - nor should it - for place of birth or raising. Many travel, many were adopted, many were forced to live elsewhere and gave birth away from their native homelands. Limiting that would limit roleplay quite a bit.
*edited to add* But I would like to see separate Character Customization screens based on species/races :) No doubt Enkidukai will have costumization options Stonebreakers will lack, and Dermorians have something Kran won\'t. Separating the appearance screens/choices bit will be nice.

Umm, I think ross meant that, you know... In description of \"raised in xxx village\" it\'s mentioned that you were of different specie than most of inhabitants. So like Enkidukai in a Kran village, Lemur in Dermorian and so on.
Whilst it\'s weird when you pick Kran character, Kran village and it\'s said that you were of different specie :P
Something that really should be looked into.

I would like to see a few more options. The idea is that I would like to have sword skill options that don\'t include Played War as a Child, Guarded the Vault, and Invasion and Love.
The discussions around these currently lends to the idea that many have the same roots and routes to their adulthood. I would like to see a little more diversity, eventually. Having separate options for the different races would help along those lines. I also hope that there would be similar backgrounds across all the races so that commonalities could be found during roleplay.
The thing I would like to see added would be parental jobs. Woodchopper, among others, could be added there. I would also like to see jobs and backgrounds that would eventually add different weapon skills. I would like to do a Weapon Master type that is knowledgeable of all weapons.

That\'s exactly what I meant, but I only used that as the first example that came to mind. There are other options which are also not applicable to all species, etc.

Just a thought. How about race specific/inherent talents? Such as Enkidukai being able to see better in the dark, another race detecting stealthy characters, a light built having less penalty when falling, etc...
If these are already in planning, then that would be great!!

In a way, they are :) Check the section on Races from the main website - there are some skills (along with bonuses) that only a few (or one) races have.
