I got the above error when trying to add a bug at
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=add&group_id=8351&atid=108351
Source Forgge staff seem to be on holidays, except for system wide issues.

There\'s a good reason that didn\'t work: we don\'t use SourceForge\'s bug tracking. ;)
We use BugTracker, hosted on this same server. Click here (http://planeshift.oodlz.com/bugtracker/)
Please read this before posting any bugs! (http://www.ps-mc.com/advice/index.php/Guide_to_the_bugtracker)

I actually found the solution to my problem on these forums.
http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=16615&boardid=41&sid=f9d5cbf741611449769cd9443643c5ec
I was lead to sourceforce by
http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=1133&boardid=17&styleid=3&sid=f9d5cbf741611449769cd9443643c5ec
which is from the \"README FIRST\" post in the newbie section.

I\'m over 40, never drink, so you are a lousy judge of character. :)
Then again begining old is like regresing to childhood.

Don\'t take it personally, because it is just a signature that DaveG uses ;) If you want to know the history, look at the thread here (http://planeshift.oodlz.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=21094&boardid=11) :]

Sounds like too many like the game and want it better but too few coders to make it happen.
I downloaded the binary for Linux, which is out of date.
So then I try to use Malverian\'s \'easy\' way, which uses Jam.
Jam is not stable on amd64, anyway it requires util-linux which I spent all day yesterday trying to compile...

Not whinging really.

Yeah.... my destination is so long, my sig looks like part of the post. :P Sorry for any confusion.
When it comes to my current sig, it was just born due to the annoying level of incoherent people that are currently around here. There are quite a few new PSers that are obviously either too young to understand anything and type anything, or either older and just plain stupid.
But yes, we\'re always looking for more programmers. Anyone who can fix a bug, can submit the code to one of us in irc://freenode/#planeshift-build and we\'ll be happy to review and commit it to CVS. (though, you might want to ask before working on an assigned bug, to prevent fixing something already being worked on)
Now about the latest version...: The CVS version is quite out of date with current release. Our graphics engine, Crystal Space, did an overhaul of their event system, and we\'re still fixing a few issues here and there on our end. The next release will be done pretty much as soon as a couple key things are fixed. (the server code on CVS is much more stable than what we\'re using now; hopefully we\'ll get this done soon)

That\'s encouraging.
I\'ve >20 years coding experience, although I have a full time job which makes it hard to do fun stuff. I do hope to contribute at some point. I\'d like to actually run the game before hand tho, and I spent most of the holidays just maintaining my Linux system. Sigh.
Anyway, I\'ll hold off getting the client to install/run, I\'ve heaps to do just getting jam to install/work. Sigh.
