looks like a nice game and one heck of a big project but i have some questions before ..i try it
- It says nothing in the Roleplay Guide is RP is actually enforced or encouraged?
- Does anyone even follow at least some of the RP rules? or like in WoW...where people join an \"RP\" server without even knowing what \"RP\" stands for ...(Red Panthers?!) and if at least main part of the player base is actually roleplaying ?
thanks!

Encouraged

This is sadly not the case. Planeshift is definately meant to be a Roleplaying Game, with capitals, but a lot of the people who play PS are not aware of this. Basic RP rules that are generally used by the base of roleplayers include the use of brackets for OOC chat, and no duelling without a roleplayed reason.

it might be hard to understand for a player who knows nothing about RP why he should not Duel heh well
how about Guilds, are there any guilds around with RP-only sort of rules?

Actually guilds -must- have RP reasons for being, otherwise they\'re flat-out rejected by most of the community ;) All of the guilds listed within the Guild Forum are RP guilds, and so are many that are purely in-game guilds.
While RP itself isn\'t strictly enforced within the game (yet?), I would like to say that it is strictly encouraged - all Out-Of-Character text should go in parantheses or brackets, and prolonged OOC discussions in public channels are a no-no. The goal is to create as believable an atmosphere as possible :)
