First of all, here are my system specs:
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (1.2)
Number Of CPUs: 1
CPU Speed: 1.5 GHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB
Memory: 768 MB
Bus Speed: 167 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.9.0f0
OS 10.4.3
I have read everything in the \'read this first post\'.
Updater.jar will not work. After changing the Java app to J2SE 5.0, I also ran it in the terminal as per instructions. Updater.jar still does not work, as in, it will not open. It is in the Planeshift3D folder. Here is the console error report:

A manual attempt at the update results in this terminal message:

Segmentation fault
Any ideas on a solution? I\'d really like to play. The game looks phenomenal. Thanks.

Hmmmm... ok where to begin....
Are you opening the correct \"Updater\"?????????
It seams to me your error msg is from the Updater.app that comes with PS, and not Cha0s\' Updater.jar :P
-
Both give me an error message. Chaos\'s updater.jar will not open properly, nor will the psupdater.

Did you follow steps to 2a and, if that didn\'t work, 2b? Read the Guide more carefully and follow all the instructions in detail. Once you\'ve completed 2b, entering \"java -version\" in Terminal should return something like:
java version \"1.5.0_05\"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_05-83)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_05-48, mixed mode, sharing)
If it doesn\'t, make sure you completed step 2b correctly. If you\'re still having trouble, you can use Updater-old.jar. iLock since this is addressed in the Guide (PM me if you have further issues).
