As you can see I scored the 4000th post around these forums. Now it wouldn\'t be anything special, and I wouldn\'t post about it, but I have a surprise!
I actually planned to do it without telling anyone, but then I\'ve noticed Seperot\'s post saying that no one who makes a thread about leaving, really does it... And since I never made one (unlike some people believe), I do it now. Just because I feel like proving some people wrong.
That\'s right, the surprise is I\'m leaving Planeshift. I wanted to do it for a while now, seeing as I\'ve been helluva annoyed by what is going on on the forums, but... I decided to wait until the 4000th post and see how it turns out.
Result should be obvious now :P
The case is simple: I don\'t like it, it\'s not going to change, so I\'m leaving.
I don\'t fully understand the reason why I reappeared in here the last time... I was happy away from here, but in one moment I received that strange feeling, which reminded me of this place and pushed me to pick in. That led to some serious happenings, and in the end I am glad that it happened, but that\'s behind now.
I hope that if it\'s going to happen again, such feeling will push me to a completely different place than this one.
I suppose that\'s all. Like I said, this thread wouldn\'t be here if I didn\'t want to prove Sep wrong... And I\'m pretty stubborn in stuff like that, so:

Draklar, you\'ve done great things for this community. I\'m sad to see you leave. I don\'t know you as well as many here, and yet I hope I know you well enough to be called \"friend.\"
I hope Seperot is right and you come back, but I understand that you have reasons for leaving and I\'m not going to pressure you about it. Good luck where ever you end up and thank you for everything.

I can understand your motivations, and heh wishing you luck while pesking you on MSN everyday would be somewhat hyporcritic. Soo, yeah whatever.

You may not have made a thread announcing that you were leaving, but you still made a post about it somewhere, then came back a few months later after you were bored. :P You definately made a thread announcing when you came back though :D
Hopefully thats the case once more, and we can wish you get bored again soon so you can come back. It was always interesting reading your debates with other people.

Ahhh, so in plain English that means you were annoyed of this game (or just bored with it or whatever), but you did not leave. Instead you decided to spam the forums and not to leave it until you reached the 4000th post, which is (by accident, of course ;)) the requirement for a new forum rank. :P
By the way: I\'m not fond of people who announce their leaving, they might experience a sudden relapse to their old habit and return. ;)

You should leave the forums, but not in-game. Ingame stuff is going really good! Great roleplayers as far as the eye can reach.

Hm. Woops? I deleted Leo\'s art thread, seeing as how it was pointless and empty now (he edited all his posts with \".\"), not realizing that Drak made a post there. Thus dropping his post count to 3999. Maybe someone should go tell him to come back and fix that.

Hehe, someone should rename the topic to \"3999 posts and a surprise.\" And edit Draklar\'s post accordingly... Maybe add a pink color too, like they used to do at the Cabal\'s forums.

Why in the hell do people leave? why cant they just become sortof inactive.. and then just stop in every so often.. or at least keep their accounts so they can make a random post every year or two

From seeing it on a number of forums, when it\'s not for attention it\'s to make a point or say something. In this case, individuals claim to be leaving due to a change in the culture of the community.
It\'s up to you to decide whether or not it\'s worth paying attention to. If you decide its worth paying attention to it, the question becomes whether or not they\'re truly leaving because of the reason they claim.

basically it comes down to this
People are here for at least one of the 3 reasons
1. They like the game so are here for the game
2. There here for the community and have fun there
3. There currently involved in making the game
if your not in at least 1 of the 3 then you should be asking yourself why your here
people do ask and people de leave....

We should make a players graveyard and add players names who have left and had an impact on the ps community.
Moogie, Drak, kada el, etc.

Graveyard..? Nooo >_> Cremation and spreading of the ashes through Oja plains. That\'s the only way to go.

Can we petitiont he developers for a gravestone or wall of the dead that has the names of those people? or name son mouse over.. you could just put it under a tree somewhere. or in the city.. or anything it be cool

Guys! It\'s not that big of a deal :P I don\'t understand it. It\'s not like the players actually died, they\'re around and available to talk to. They just don\'t play the game anymore and don\'t frequent the forums or IRC. Do you have any idea how many awesome players passed by through the years and decided to pass on after some time? Officially memorializing each and every one of them, no matter how amazing and incredibly fun they were, is silly :) I\'ve loved (and granted, still love) Draklar to bits and pieces, but let\'s pull ourselves together here.

it IS a big deal! im sad!!!
Moogie was planeshift! she was there in the beginning and then she was a mod. and then it was like.. wtf the core of planeshift itself is leaving? it only seemed like that because how prominent and everywhere she was.
and now Draklar too!.. its like.. nervous breakdown! midlife crisis! im having a heart attack. I was sad when halfpint stopped showing up.. but this is devastating!

Maybe you should ask for Drak\'s and Moogie\'s MSN contacts, then o_O Then get some fresh air or something. You look a bit pale. Trust me, the only person who is PlaneShift is Talad.

In my time here, Talad and Vengeance are the only people that have stayed with the project. People come and people go. Hopefully some will return back :).
