due to some crappy issues, i have had to leave my 2mb connection at my place and for the next few months stay at my mothers with my partner and my new daughter. and i have placed my pc and my mums on a lan.
i am using analogx proxy as a proxy so i can connect to the internet as well.
and i was wondering 2 things.

1: is there an easier way, that being i don\'t have to use a proxy and my computer jsut accesses the internet through the other computer and doesn\'t have any issues (can\'t use firefox with the proxy for some reason only few sites work with it)

2: is there a way for me to connect through the proxy to planeshift, if somone doesn\'t have an idea about a different better method for #1

I used AnalogX\'s proxy way-back-when, but it\'s really not versatile enough to do more than the basics.  If you want to play, you\'ll have to switch to something else.  Currently, I\'m using Proxy Plus (http://www.proxyplus.cz/download.php?lang=en) which is quite capable of proxing PS.  There are other free ones out there, if you search around.

well i am going to try proxy+
i was hoping to use microsofts internet shareing but i managed to find out that to do that you need 2 cards in the server pc, so i guess its back on to the proxies :o)

Every time Microsoft claimed to \"update\" the damn thing, I tried to get it working...  Every time it yelled at me, demanded ridiculous system changes, and generally didn\'t work.  I\'m convinced it\'s a hoax.

sorry to ask, but i can\'t seem to get the proxy setup for the ps client, i have managed the updater, internet.

i was wondering if you could print screen where to add it i think its
mapped links under proxies

i enter the info given on:

but i can\'t seem to get it to work.

so if you could inform me of what to put in each field seeing as there is only 3 fields i am like how can i mess this up ?!?

i just did the edit on the servers.xml and working perfect thanx for that
