Please don\'t double post!
And to check if the server is really offline and it\'s not your pc check laanx.fragnetics.com

And did someone mention it\'s not wise to you your mail adress as username? Something with spam...

If you are running a firewall or router, check that you have UDP port 7777 open for server laanx.

By the way, using an email address as your username is an incredibly bad idea. Everyone can read it and spam you to hell, if they want. This includes net spiders, which are automated programs that infest every corner of cyberspace, just waiting for some fool to give them his email. They\'ll forward it to every spam company they know, who will send it to every single one of their affiliates, untill your inbox is so full of junk it\'ll be utterly unusuable.

...Just a thought.

Abandon this one and make another.  Someone can just delete this thread.

Are you an admin? Did you use the Java Update Guide or the manual Guide? What OS do you have (10.2.x, 10.3.x, 10.4.x, etc)?  If you used the Java Guide, can you paste the log you got from the updater? If not, I suggest you try it.
