Title: Banned? What, why,...

I just tried to play and got a message \"You are banned until 2006-1-15 12:3.     Reason: This is a test.

Is this a test, or just a default \"reason\"? If it is a test, I would have liked to know beforehand, an email maybe? Otherwise, i want to know why I am banned. As far as I know, I haven\'t broken any rules or done anything to deserve this, if I have done something it was unwitting and unintentional, so this is why I want to know the reason- it won\'t happen again.
Anyway, I would appreciate any information on this so I can know what\'s going on and get back to the game.

It\'s a test ;) The server has just been updated, so some team members are currently running about checking various things.

At least, that\'s as much as I can glean from the situation.

You\'re a tester of a game in early development :) Sending you an email every time a dev wants to test something would be rather silly.

There was a bug in the ban code so it should be resolved shortly.  After the server update is finished we will fix your account.

Crap.  I was working with a few players to test my new banning system.  Your ISP appears to be AOL, and their DNS seems to be to vague.  I may have to modify this system a bit to handle these things better.

If anyone gets a test ban message, please post here.  I\'ll grab your IP from the forum log, and do a reverse lookup on your hostname.  Don\'t worry about it; the tests are short term, and they\'ll expire quick.

There\'s nothing noted at http://laanx.fragnetics.com about the changes. Are threre any interresting changes for players?

Bah... No one ever updates that page anymore.  :/  I\'ll try to get something posted up.

Btw, I know most people post new threads when unnecessary, so this is better than usual... but this is 100% off topic.  :P
