Title: Hidden weapons cache in Death Realm
Post by: ylikone on January 15, 2006, 03:39:40 am
[Ylikone]

As some of you may know, I am working as the Death Realm librarian and I\'ve also been selling some simple weapons on the side.  I\'ve recently stopped being a merchant and will just concentrate on helping the new arrivals in the Death Realm... and as such, I have hidden my small stock of weapons (consisting of approx. 10 weapons) in one pile somewhere here.   If people are so inclined, they can hunt for my weapons cache.  Upon finding them, come and see me in the DR library to verify that you\'ve found them.  I will post the winner of this quest in this thread.  Winner gets to keep the weapons!

I think the weapons are very hard to find... but maybe not.  Somebody with good searching methods may stumble upon them very quickly.

Good luck!

I Accept your quest Sir ylikone and will make the Dragon Council Proud.

Please edit your post to include the name of your character at the top, as Ylikone did :) --Kary

Well, it seems that a number of people have been searching for my cache... but none have found it yet.  I told you it was hard!  Also, people, please stop asking me for hints.  No hints.  At least not yet.

Very well done, Ylikone. That will keep them busy for a while and they do not bother us that much. As an extra bonus, I added a beer mug to the cache ;)

Congratulations, Tharos!  You are the first to find my weapons cache!  I checked it, and indeed there was a beer mug there.  Since you have graciously decided not to loot the cache, but add to it, it is still there for someone else (perhaps a non-death-realm citizen) to find!

OOC:

With probably another day of server crashes, I\'m not sure how much I\'ll be in-game.  So if you find the cache, just post here and say whether you took it or added to it.  I will confirm later.

[OOC: I just checked the items, they are still there.  After many server crashes.]

Update:  The weapons cache is now gone.  Whoever took them, please identity yourself so I can congratulate you.

[I Looked for close to 2 hours. Even had help from a GM to teleport me to the Kings Chair on the top in the citadel and searched. I used every means of the camera angle to find nooks and crannies. I have lost. You ll have to show me sometime Ykilone]

Yes, I saw quite a few people looking for it and I didn\'t ask Tharos how long it took him to find it, but I would imagine it would have taken a while.. as the cache was buried behind rocks somewhere on the very bottom of the Death Realm.

[could only be seen when in a certain camera mode, and could only be picked up using the /target and /pickup commands]

Well I had the right idea. In a uncommon place. And yes I have actually searched the depths but the darkness was unbearable.

[It amazes me the vast space and darkness made me wonder how Tharos found it]
