Building PS on linux for me was always troublesome. The guide on laanx has never worked for me ever sadly, and then I read a different guide someone posted, followed it with ease and it worked perfectly. No problems at all.
I remember it did one thing differnet... it had me create a file called either SOURCE or PROFILE and add some stuff to it, and thats all I remember being different besides that the commands were nearly cut and pasteable... anyone know where and what this guide is and was?

Which guide on laanx did you try? as I\'ve always found the slackware one to work well regardless of distro :)
edit:
just realised I\'ll prob see you in #-build

I used the debian guide, making changes for some errors in it then I tried some other one from somewhere and it was better - it also added some configure tags that made Ccrystalspace build way way way faster - something akin to no--python blah blah - the build was my first successful one ever and was a fantasic guide. Now it is lost - it has its own web page but it doesn\'t come up unde rgoogle sadly... no one remebers it?
