Title: not running the correct Version?

I installed the latest planeshift linux-package on my debian-sid box and started the updater.
After updating i started psclient:

Whats wrong?

It looks like you didn\'t follow the instructions in this thread (http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=19389&boardid=41).

Only thing I can tell you is to try more. There are several steps involved: install, delete all except art, install again, unpack a patch etc.

If you follow all the instructions there, you get a version that most likely won\'t start, or crash immediately after starting up, or show no texts, or show a corrupted picture, or delete everything on your hard disk, or burn your CPU and/or RAM, and give you a lot of gray hair, but it won\'t tell you that \"you are running a wrong version\" ;)

i can tell you....i did a complete re-installing... deleting...updating....for three times, without any success, i am still told \"running the wrong version\"...

If you have development tools and libraries installed, then you can try building your own client from CVS sources. I never got the official installer working, but it didn\'t say me that \"you are running a wrong version\".
