Post by: SovHed on January 29, 2006, 11:36:00 pm: Greetings to all, I have recently founded a site for those of you who are looking to find a guild, new members, or advertise your own guild.
It is an ideal place to advertise your guild, you can register you guild on the frontpage and get it listed on the site. Not only that, we will give you a free website and forums to give your guild a place to call your own, (Forums are phpbb and you have full control of them and the site.)
If you are looking for a guild you can easily find one to suit your wishes and goals with our easy to use Guild listing. From this listing you can contact the guilds and visit their sites.

The site also offers useful information for if you are planning to start a guild of your own, get advice from other guild masters and learn how to build your guild.

Also, php-nuke is hell for security. Wait a few months and it\'ll be haxxored.

In other news, you can\'t use the planeshift logo without permission from talad since the official logo implies an official site.

However guildlisting.com is definitely better if you want to just see a very well put, easy for the eye, table of guilds, their website, logo, alignement, purpose, and number of players.

Also im giving away free sites and forums, i dont think anyone yet has done that.

Maybe I missed the point, but why should a guild register there, if a quite up-to-date guild listing (http://www.guildlisting.com/) already exists? No need to re-invent the wheel. ;) I would have understood it, if the existing list would be outdated, but it isn\'t.

The good point, however, is, that you offer free website and forums for new guilds. (Just as a hint: php-nuke \"might\" be a bit insecure.) :)

I do realize the potential problems with phpnuke, and i am doing something about it.

Anywho I like the other list better. I find it more pratical, since it is only a list.
This one\'s nice though, kinda like Kada-El\'s.

Post by: ylikone on February 01, 2006, 08:54:06 pm: My site, guildisting.com, is ONLY for listing your guild. There is no web space, no forums, etc... BUT guild owners can log in at any time and modify their guild listing information. That\'s ALL my site provides. It is simple, quick and clean.

I don\'t have any problem with Sov making a guild site, as it is different functionality from mine... you can get free web space there to set up your guild pages... why wouldn\'t you use it?

So, I am with the single spoken consensus of more than one listing of guilds--that way at least one will work. (maybe not)

Post by: SovHed on March 06, 2006, 06:33:38 pm: Sorry about that, i deleted my SQL DB and the site dissapeared, actually when i switched server, the DB didnt come with it. I have now repaired the site, go ahead and sign back up, correct me if the guild listing is wrong, post in the forums, vote on the survey, all that good stuff :) lets get it back again.

i have added a calendar now which actually works, also im going to add other things either today or tomorrow.

also : Annah - there are no requirements as such to list your guild, as long as you can type and click the mouse you will be fine :)
