Title: New Client

Post by: Karyuu on February 21, 2006, 12:28:25 am: A new release isn\'t a new version, as Houlen mentioned :) But it won\'t include just bug fixes - there will be a lot of content, too. Steel Blue is still quite a distance away, but we\'re one step closer :D

As for the server hardware - it seems that the CPU fan died, and that might take a few days to fix. So I hope everyone finds enough patience, because afterwards we\'ll have a lot more to play with.

Post by: DaveG on February 21, 2006, 12:30:52 am: Version 0.3.013 will be officially released whenever the server gets back up. It\'s physically down right now, due to hardware issues. (has nothing to do with the pending release; just a coincidence) We just have to wait until Fragnetics fixes the box.

There\'s much, much, more in this release than just control fixes. We\'ve fixed an insane amount of bugs, and added some nice new features. You can click the link in my signature and browse through the history if you like. We\'ll post the simplified changelog sometime soon.

Steel Blue MAY need to be a new download, it all depends. Molecular Blue- Crystal Blue was a huge difference sharing only a small fraction of the coding.

But then MB was heavily messed around with by some of the players and that may have influenced some of the drastic changes whereas this time around people have been more respectful and not tried to...say...take control of the GM characters XD

My guess is that Talad will have some sort of massive content release in the waiting for our debut to \"Steel Blue\". ;) I\'d expect items and models and maps and ponies!... :P

The download page still shows 0.3.011 for Linux, and now here\'s talking about 0.3.013!

I wonder why there is no greater demand for it, seeing as how I know not of any brewer outside of Akkaio walls. (There are no NPCs around Kada El\'s that actually sell drinks ;) Bizarre as it is. So your best bet is to walk through the hills and collapse to a mug at the Broken Door.)

Why didn\'t you just edit the first one, put the other two in it, and ask a mod to delete them, that way ou\'d have it all in one post. Edit isn\'t just usefull for grammar and spelling corrections, or adding comments you forgot to make.

You download a .torrent file and you open it with bittorrent, bittorrent will then download the file you actually need. The bittorrent file currently available on the main PS website is for windows. Follow the instructions there and you\'ll be fine. It\'ll go like this:

1 Download bittorrent (http://www.bittorrent.com)
2 Install bittorrent.
3 Download the .torrent file from http://www.planeshift.it
4 Open the .torrent file, bittorrent will auto open it.
5 Bittorrent will now download the PS file for you.
6 When 100%, open the PS file.
7 Install PS.
8 Play!
