Title: open problems

i can\'t play planeshift.
if i open the game i see this:
WARNING: could not load plugin \'crystalspace.sndsys.manager\'
crystalspace.canvas.openglwin:
gl2d error: display change gave unknown error

i have update it(recover mode)
and i can open the setup only in \'256 colors\'
but then i can see nothing. only a few dots

what can i do to solve this problem

Windows XP sp2
processor: 1,91 ghz 512 mb

I would say download the latest drivers for your graphics card, if that doesn\'t work maybe a reinstallation of PS.

i have reinstal the program and update my grapic card(asus a9200) but i have the same problems.

sndsys is the sound manager (I think), normaly I would advise disabling sound, but as you can\'t run pssetup, I don\'t have a clue.

edit:
Wait, I do have a clue.
Go to C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\\ assuming you installed in that directory of course.
Then open the psclient.cfg file. (there are 3 psclient files, open the one with the shiny colourfull windows logo) Scroll completely down and change this line:

Planeshift.GUI.Skin.Ingame = /this/art/skins/default.zip

to

Planeshift.GUI.Skin.Ingame = /this/art/skins/stone.zip

save the file and launch PS, check if it works, please.

I searched the forums and some people who had the same problem said it was fixed with changing the skin. If this doesn\'t work....I\'m running out of options  ;(

Okay, another try.
Open that psclient file again, scroll completely down and delete this line:

System.PlugIns.iSoundRender = crystalspace.sound.render.software

Post here if that fixes it.

would you like to save a diagnostic file?

i had this first too, the same problem

Is this your own build, or a downloaded release?  If it\'s from the release, you shouldn\'t be getting anything looking for sndsys.  Something stupid may be on the update servers.

Anyways, we\'re in the process of getting the new client out right now.  My best advice is to download that, and report back here if it fails too.  (it\'s just on BitTorrent now, will be on mirrors and updater latter; be patient)

i have the same problem, but i can enter setup without problems, just everything is black when i enter the game....

It has something to do with openglide i guess :S

Im using a Radeon 9700 pro, Intel 2.8ghz, 512mb


The error message says:

And yes my vidcard is fully updated ( I play oblivion and guildwars ffs!! lol)
