I died... and now I\'m in the death realm. I\'ve wandered around the pathways. I\'ve found a few things that could be doors... but I don\'t know how to open them. I\'ve foudn a room with a bunch of books, and a big blue crystal thing.

Don\'t you ever call the Dark Crystal a \"big blue crystal thing\"! The Dark Crystal is the ultimate source of the power and it also keeps the portal out of the Death Realm opened. Next time you do that, I will eat your soul and your won\'t be ever able to leave the Death Realm.

Do what was said by Zanzibar, wait for other dead souls and then ask them or simply follow where they are going. And look around in the Death Realm, it is one of the most wonderful places you will find in the game ;)

There is only on more guy down there... and he is lost too.
I looked in the faq and it just told me to ask around... why isn\'t the actual answer written out somewhere? I\'ve walked everywhere... and found nothing.

Writing it out would be a sort of spoiler. People are meant to discover things on their own - and part of finding the exit is exploring and stumbling onto all the wonderful scenery, as you did. We can\'t help you on the forums, again, sorry :/

I think it\'s kinda wierd if you have noobie forusm where you can\'t help the noobies. That\'s like giving someone a car and telling them not to drive it.

No, any spoiler on the forum gets edited or deleted :P And mods know better than to post them. It\'s a request directly from Talad, the head of the project. We can help new players, but to an extent. There is no rush anywhere - you\'re not paying for anything, you have all the time in the world to slow down, take a breath, and try to do things on your own.

8. How do I open doors?
You can\'t currently open any doors that aren\'t already open.
There are some books(helves) you can right-click on to examine, and read. These are usually in Jayose\'s library, however.

All I can do is cross the bridge. After that, I keep falling and dying after going straight. Is there a path somewhere that I missed?

I\'ve been able to get up to those libraries mentioned above but not farther. I see more pathway above my head but cannot find any way to get up there. Yes I\'m stuck.
And all other players I saw while trying also had no clue. So much for the \"follow the others\" suggestion. *sigh*
And currently I can\'t try out anything else because for my local time zone the server is down since at least twelve hours (I missed the short uptime due to needing some sleep).

Keep searching ;) I eventually found my way out, I got slowed down by admiring the beautiful, yet creepy, scenery :)

Okay, found my way out. Whoever had the idea to add clearly visible walkways to the death realm that serve no function whatsoever deserves to be punished *g*
A tip to those who still try to find out of there, without revealing too much: Search _everywhere._ Dead ends aren\'t always dead ends, but the seemingly-obvious makes one look there far too much.
(Hoping that this won\'t be considered to be too much of a spoiler - I think _that_ much advice is fair, though not much more...)

Not really we\'ll show you how to drive the car but not tell you to where drive it :)

Yup. If you keep following the obvious path, you\'ll finally get to a crossroads where there are libraries to the left and right. In the left library you\'ll find that crystal.

Hmmm, for someone who was lost, you are being facetious--no?
Or, do you really want them all to be dark winding paths you can\'t see?
Or, are you using the -fullbright (cheat) command?

Currently, the DR is mostly just a path. Follow it.

What eye? I\'ve escaped from the death realm, and the only eye i\'ve seen was near the end...

Heh. Took me an hour plus to get out of there. Probably because those who know the way don\'t die so often :)
Edit: An additional question. Since I had not visited the DR after levelling up, I wonder if \"dying\" in the DR would cause adverse effects to your exp or such. (Dying when you\'re dead? ISn\'t that odd?)

When you die, be it inside the Death Realm or somewhere else, you won\'t realise any effects (neither positive nor negative ones) to you stats, skills, experiance and whatever, simply because there are no effects on these things.

Yeah, kind of. That one place where I got stuck for quite some time could or couldn\'t be said to be just the path going on, depending on how you view it (quite literally ;) ).

well I\'ve played for about an hour. The first time i died a friend of mine was in there too, so she showed me the way out. The second time she wasn\'t, but i remembered most of the way and got out myself. It\'s not that hard and its fun to explore. I\'m in again an don\'t want to leave yet; I\'m gonna explore a bit =)
