As requested by Aznakh. At first meant to be locked to prevent chitter-chatter, but ultimately it is harmless.
The poll itself is, as most polls are, for statistic purposes.
-
Windows 98 Plus, actually. I voted in the 98 catagory.
-
Linux. Gentoo, to be precise.
-
Well thanks for posting the poll .. <== feels honored
I am on OS X 10.4.5 Tiger (PPC Version) 8)
-
Chinese (Traditional) Windows XP. No funny symbols so far, thank goodness.
-
Gentoo Linux.
Windows XP to verify that the same bugs are in the Windows version :)
-
:( Only one option to chose? :(
-
Gentoo Linux (amd64)
-
SuSe Linux 9.3 and OpenSuSe 10.0
also trying to get PS to run on FreeBSD
-
Debian -SID- GNU/Linux
-
Hmmm..... I think it is weird that there are only \"44\" people playing PS. ?(
Allthough I rather think that the poll has been pushed to the second page.
Maybe it would be a good idea to sticky the poll so that people will be able to notice it better. ;)

Windows NT/XP/2000
This is what I use, but I know shiznit about computers so I am stuck with it. Never tried others like Linux. I can\'t say for sure that I like windows XP the best till I try the others.
-
Ubuntu Linux 5.10
-
Windows XP Home Edition

Well, now I play on a slightly padded rolling chair salvaged from a hundred year old school set to be torn down. The thing is built like a tank and can support half a ton at least (never tested). I had to switch to this because the platform was too hard, and kept giving me splinters. ;)
(Oh, and win XP home, god save us all. Ps would -barely- work on my old ME *shivers* box. Good thing it died.)
-
The platform I PlaneShift on -as detailed below in my signature- is using version 10.4.5 of Mac OS X
While PlaneShift 0.3.13 for OS X was up on the server, my experience of everything within this wonderful game was just pur-r-r-fect :P
Many thanks to those on the development team, who have made the work of the others on the development team, available for Apple Macs! :)

i use Mac OSX panther, because comp usa dosent know the difference between the two kitties =/

Hello everybody,
I wonder what happened to the poll since the forum changed. Is it lost ? :o
-
It looks like we weren't able to convert any polls, so unfortunately it is indeed lost. If you'd like, we can try to recreate it again.
-
Windows XP Home Edition :sorcerer:
-
Well ok .... no problem. I think it would be interesting to have it made again. :sorcerer:
However it would be good to have it stickied once more to avoid to have it pushed back to the bottom of oblivion again ;)
Thanks a lot Karyuu \\o//
-
Oof.. I seem to have lost what options the poll had. Can you repost them here?
-
Off course Karyuu ... There is allmost nothing I can't do for you ;)
I think would be a good oportunity to add options to get a more specific overview of the user's platforms. Here we go:
0 Windows 95
0 Windows 98/Me/NT 4.0
0 Windows XP/2000
0 Mac OS X 10.1 - 10.3
0 Mac OS X 10.4 (PPC)
0 Mac OS X 10.4 (Intel)
0 Linux Debian/Redhat/Suse/Mandrake/Gentoo
0 Other Linux Flavour
0 Free BSD
0 Other Unix Flavour
Ok, there are many more options then in the previous poll, however it will provide a clearer overview of what platform people play the game on and guide the development team in a better way. I hope that this time the poll will be more successful. Please don't forget to sticky it. \\o//

You know, I think polls have been disabled entirely for now - neither me nor Santiago can find the option to make them, so we'll have to wait until such features are enabled again :} Hopefully by next week when we figure out what to do with hosts.
-
Just a quickie, would we be able to check more than one answer? I know I'm not the only one that runs PS on multiple platforms. The last one lacked that, and if you're wanting to get the best reprsentation from the community, being able to select more than one would be nice. Something to think about when the poll options are back. :whistling:
