Title: ummm need help

ok well I downloaded planeshift windows version.I try to run it and I get a Nsis error.It says the following \"Installer verification failed.This could be the result of an incomplete download,a failing disk,or (possibly) corruption from a virus.You can try to force an install using the /NCRC command line switch (but it is NOT recommended)\" I scaned it for a virus and no virus and it is not on a disk so I tried redownloading it this time from the mirror site and same problem so what can I do?I really dont want to redownload it agian it takes me like 2-3hours to download.I am running windows 98 second edition.So I need to know whats causing the error or atleast how to fix it.Thank you for yalls time and replys.

could be that you have an older version of the ms installer
get a new one from www.microsoft.com

Yes you need to re-download.

The MS installer has nothing to do with it.

I already did redownload it.I downloaded it 2 times already from both sites and both times it gives me the same error.So if I download it agian witch will be another 2-3 hours it will most likly give me the same error agian.

Maybe the main servers file is broken
did you try the mirror as well?

im downloading the exe from the main now and ill see if it works with my winex :)

Yes bloodraven I downloaded it from the main the first time and it got that error so I deleted it and then downloaded it from the mirror and got same error agian.also tried downloading the ms installer new version but it did not help.But thank you for trying.

okay it worked perfectly for me, maybe your download prog fails
try using getright
or maybe its your computer, if you really cant get it to run i can send you the installed files packed in rar or something.

Ok I got it to work I downloaded it agian not useing a download manager and it worked I guess it was just my dm thank you for yalls help
