Title: Pterosaurs
Post by: Alose on March 08, 2006, 06:23:12 pm
Hello Shifters,

Here is my attemt for a flying reptile. I also have a idee for the saddle.

It is all made in Wings. As im learning Blender i have no idee how to make a skin for the Pterosaurs. I can put the 3d.wings on the forum so someone can have a try.

I hope what you see.

Hey great job on your first reptile model! ;)
Just an FYI type thing that might help you design your model, (from the Planeshift homepage) -

\"The Pterosaurs\' dimensions vary from three to six meters, not including their tails, and their wingspan is directly proportionate to their bodies.\"

Not real sure what they mean when they say that their wingspan is proportionate to their bodies but everything else is pretty obvious. Good luck!

Hello all,

Yes, i saw it. Wingspan is the length from tip to tip, that means 2 wings as big as the body. IMHO that means you get a model that has the dimensions of a fly. This is more the model of a seagull and from what i know a flying dino. I can make it more like a sparrow. I also made a walker but as its not an animal in Yliakum I didn\'t put it here.

First I will make a simple saddle for the model.
