It syas the server is not on or unreachable. Can anyone tell me why, or help me? It says that 69 users are on...
-
Welcome to PlaneShift :)
Make sure that if you are running a firewall or router, you have UDP port 7777 enabled for server \"Laanx\". Have you tried logging in several times? Sometimes that message pops up but lets you through eventually. The server is definitely available right now.
-
Yea, ive tried like 10 times
lemme do the router forwarding...
EDIT: It didn\'t work. ANy other ideas?
*edit*
anyone?
Please avoid posting two or more successive posts before others have replied, or posting just to bump a thread. Edit your last post to add new information :) Thanks! --Karyuu

Are you using the latest 0.3.013 client, and have you run the updater?
-
The updater won\'t work (can\'t connect to the server). An I suppose I am using the newest version, considering I downloaded it 1.5 hours ago. This game seems fun, and I would like to play. Are there any other servers or anything?
-
There is only one server at the moment. What OS are you using, and you\'re absolutely sure that there is no longer any router/firewall that is blocking access? This definitely seems like that sort of problem. Otherwise, I\'m out of ideas and someone else will come along and help out :)

I am on SuSE Linux 10, and here is a photo of my router setup:

I take it you changed data/servers.xml to point to your router?...
-
Please go into that further, it might help me greatly... How do I change it?
-
It Works! I just changed \"7534\" to 7777! AWW C\'MON! It syas I am not using the right version, but it won\'t let me update.
-
In your PS dir, in data, there is a servers.xml file which contains the servers listed at startup. If you\'re tunneling on your router, that file needs to be considering your router to be \"the server\". Change the IP listed to it\'s and use the port it\'s forwarding to.
-
Yea, read my previous post. But, it won\'t let me update (says it cant connect to th server Laanx)... Help! thanks
-
Yeah, I was replying while you posted.
You\'ll need to setup the updater to find your HTTP proxy. Edit the updaterconfig.xml file. Read the stcky.

What exactly do I change? how do I find out what my proxy is (I am a noob to networks, but a wiz a comps.)
