Title: Bittorent problem

Problem connecting to tracker -
in the log, anyone know what\'s going on?

Status is now back to queued, and ETA is no longer at \"infinity\", it is blank ;)

I\'ll leave it on overnight, perhaps it wil be sorted by the morning. *fingers crossed*

Yes I had the same error as above. But today (the 13th) I looked at preferences and found that maximum upload rate KiB/s was set a 0 (zero) I changed that to
50. Also yesterday I added my IP address for my computer to the preferences global tracer line.

Now the error I am getting is called \"Problem connecting to the tracker -

However I did see the Transfer column change from 93.2 MiB ^ to 110 MiB ^
when there was one peer numbered on the lefthand side.

Added later: Actually I may have goofed Since I just read that a 0 under a speed setting stands for unlimited speed.

But if you must use Bittorrent, I personally prefer Transmission over Azureus, since Azureus is bloated and slow (especially when you download from several torrents at the same time).

Well, I also am on 10.4 and it seemed that downloading was going rather slow. I had gotten to 23 and a upload to 120. Finally I got sidetracked and updated the Mac\' s Security Update and had to restart. After restarting I noticed most of my Azureus and BitTorrect files were missing. So I got everything on these topics and put it in one folder and stuck in my PS folder under HD applications.

Then I opened (double clicked) on \"PlaneshiftCB_v13.dmg\" and when it opened, I noticed that it had a \"psclient\" dated March 1, 2006. So I right clicked on that and it opened into the game. put in my password and username and got into the game. Looked around and said hello to a fellow guild member. noticed that most of my shortcuts had disappeared and my window was very small and clicking on display on my terminal did not help.

So did I do something that finally worked at the right time or was I just too stupid to noticed what was staring me in the face for the past few weeks. i may never know. :D

Oh when I was going into the game, it said that there was a new update availa ble. Do I dare run updater? I think I will wait on that.

Post by: Cha0s on March 16, 2006, 05:20:18 am: Yes, please don\'t run the updater. Talad hasn\'t added anything to the repository yet! As for your shortcuts... there are certain files on the DMG you don\'t want to copy... such as shortcuts.xml... ;)

You mean that there are other files that should not be used to update version 12 files?

I also noticed on my desk top what I think in a new image named
\"PS_install\" When I do \"Get infomation\", It says under disk image:
/Applications/Planeshift/Azureus Bit Torrent PS/Planeshift_v13.dmg.
It was this image that I clicked on to discover the new files for PS and from which using the new psclient was able to get into the game. But not all files are an improvement over the old. The one you mention and pssetup is worse since you can not change the settings (or at least I can not).

Also the \"BitTorrent_OSX_4.4.1\" image is back on the desktop with after getting information shows the disk image location as the same place as the PS_install but having been modified, February 8, 2006, 12:35 PM. Capaciyt 18.1 MB
1.4 MB and used 16.7 MB on disk.

I use a iMac 2 Ghz Power PC G5 Memory 1 GB DDR SDRAM OS X 10.4.5

Post by: Cha0s on March 16, 2006, 07:42:34 pm: As I mentioned in your other thread, you need to copy the files from the DMG to your hard drive. Make sure that you save existing settings files (like planeshift.cfg and shortcuts.xml, etc etc).
