Thats it for now!
Hope ya like it.

I love it, and cause i can\'t give you any good feedback cause i know nothing of 3D programs that\'s all i have to say.
Beautiful :)

That would have to be terragen...
Looks nice :)
play with the atmosphere colour a bit to suit the place - high mountain air is nice and clear or with a touch of fog in the vallys if the sun is still low. play with the cloud height, it can make for some very cool light efects.
The water one is quite cool.
I hope you dont mind, but here are a few that I have rendered in the past...
This was one of my first:

This one was a first play at snow:

I realy like this one (big):

I like ur last one Apis, i can just see it with a lone cowboy walking through it with his faithful donkey.
And ur water one Arangol i can see a sea creature attacking a pirateship.
Iv used terragen befor and must admit its an amazing program that can keep me entertained for hours.
-
Omg Apis your pictures are SO much better than mine!
Yes I made them with Terragen but I found it boring after rendering nearly the same looking pictures over and over again so now I\'m doing more with other 3D programs like Blender.

Edit:
@leopard89
>I like ur last one Apis, i can just see it with a lone cowboy walking through it with his faithful donkey.
That was the type of image I was aming at, and I think it works as well.
@Arangol
>your pictures are SO much better
just playing with the light and atmosphere can have a huge diffreance... see the curiosa3d.com website below for some textures for terragen as well.
The guy that has this website, http://www.terra-fied.org.uk/, started me on terragen. I cant get close to some of his work.
Some more of his work:

Tash (her early work is here: http://www.terra-fied.org.uk/tash/) is even better at texturing than Pedt is now.
Some more of hers:

Terragen is just the best landscape tool you can get for free. Thelimits of the unregistered version are not too hard, the registration not too expensive.
You just need to get in touch with the surface layer definitions to create credible and colorful surfaces.

Arangol. Though I think the same way, I do not believe you have a very long way to go.
Ligh. Beautiful graphics. Though i don\'t like too many colors in one place i still love your Night swimming(my fixation to matching colors must explain why i love Arangol\'s so much. No offence. You\'re still the best);)
Apis. Beautiful, from my point of view. I really like your mystic, blurry lake pictures ;)

Well here is a 3D model for a shield made by LigH for Lolitra(its in the post A shield for Lolitra (I don\'t know these forum-url-thingys so i can\'t make a link)).
I made it fast in Wings(10min) so its not perfect.
A Shield For Lolitra (now in 3D):

I don\'t know the story about it, I just looked at older posts and I hadn\'t anything to do so...
EDIT:
Here is another image of the same shield...I just smoothed it:

@Arangol
*Yawn* So tired of complimenting ;)

@ Baldur:
Really, really, really -- why do you need to quote the whole posting with the huge images, only to add one sentence?
A simple \"@ Arangol\" would have been enough.
Please edit your quote, to save some unnecessary down-scrolling time. Thank you.

your landscapes look pretty good, but i guess you will need some nice colours (i do too :P)

Somehow I have a feeling this terragen stuff takes no skill at all. It looks pretty though...
-
It\'s not extremely hard to whip up a terrain and atmosphere and the like quickly, but dismissing it all as taking no skill at all is a bit rude, Gentar... Besides, people will always push the limits of a tool, so there are things that require skill ;]
Pretty stuff :]

Sorry, youre right, and just becuase the program isnt that hard to use, I am not saying that the skill in artistic vision is not there so, I hope i didnt offend anyone.
-
This is actually a gigantic argument raging in the academic world right now. Did you make this image or did the software make this image? Should we give the credit to the programers or to the person who pushed the button to make the software do its thing? Should they share the credit? It\'s very sticky business.
-
Of course, you could create a (in your opinion) competitive Terragen image in minutes.
But you should not.
If you take your time, you will
- tweak the general terrain until you find it worth to reveal a great view
- tweak the terrain height, steepness and water level
- tweak the sum position until the lighting is matching
- tweak the clouds until they look credible enough
- tweak the atmosphere until it alters the colors as you expect it
- tweak the camera position to get the final view
This shall take you several hours (if you are serious about it), and you will need them because the preview window will not always show your mistakes obvious enough, sometimes you will see them only in a full render pass.
Of course, thanks to the programmers - many thanks. But in fact, the artists make the picture look great. A good canvas and a good brush are tools, but only an artist can use them to make you 8o
