Title: Here's some optional battle music

This is some optional battle music for PS. Maybe it fits for a boss? I\'ll post more soon.

I\'m listening and I like it. I\'m not too sure about a battle though, it seems not quite fitting. maybe thats just me though.
Is it me or does  that remind anyone else of Zelda?

I think you\'re right. IT sure would fit it.

nice work..

if i may add, id say ice cave would fit perfectly for the magic shop area, because it sounds so mysterious =D

I like the base rhythm for the music, but it sounds a little shallow. Really good ideas, but some underline bass and additional rhythm parts would make this music top notch.

I thought ice cave would work well for the library, the first one, well I imagine it would work for the stone labrynth. I also agree with Kixie, needs some depth.
Is dancer still doing the music?

The first music is way too gameboy like, I don\'t like it.
The second music is really nice, but it could use some more depth, exactly what Kixie says.

Would you perhaps like to back up that statement, before accusing members of plaguarism?

Hurk!  I\'ve been ousted!  Guess I need to finish off my own battle music ideas hehe.

Also, seems the site is down, or rather, I can\'t seem to access :(  Using Firefox but *shrug* So I can\'t state my opinions.

Noticed the files are .mid though. If they\'re midi, and if you want, you can send em to me via e-mail and i\'ll play with em in FL Studio, and send them back. I can -usually- turn em into decent mp3\'s (or vorbis or FLAC) with my sf2 collections and some playing around hehe.  Not professional but eh...nobody\'s really complained about how Haven sounded ^_^   However midis with patch changes in a single track don\'t seem to translate too well with my setup :/  It\'s better if all the used instruments are set to one track per instrument for me.  Anyhoo, PM me if you\'re interested. Just an offer :)

I\'ll continue trying the site though.

The battle theme is \"generic Final Fantasy techno music\".  There\'s nothing interesting about it, at least not to me.  There are a lot of people who eat that stuff up though.

Nice use of ostinato in the ice cave theme.

Sweet.  Put it up there with Slayer\'s Angel of Death.

My new goal is to add shorty\'s battle music to my planeshift folder :3

I like Planeshift\'s music though.  It\'s classically influenced, it\'s interesting and well written.  We have people who want to hear this kind of music, we have people who want turn-based combat, we have more than enough people who powerlevel and grind.  Just go play Final Fantasy.:|

I can officially say I\'ve grown out of Final Fantasy.  I skipped 8, and I\'ve stopped playing them since 10.  I don\'t plan on ever getting 11 or 12 :P  Though my friend is, so I may borrow his lol. Frankly I\'ve hated the character designs and plots post-FF6  (well, 9 was passable)

The music...eh, I think 6 was the high-point, but that\'s my own opinion. Everything after that is just...well...it fits the game, but doesn\'t really do anything for me.

Planeshift has some nice music though. It\'s creative, and feels like it has intelligent thought behind it :)

I have an ooooolllld track I did in modplug tracker (started out as a midi) that I created for a barren snowy wasteland kinda feeling.  I should upgrade it and post it.  It\'s kinda short and simple though. *needs to find a good viola soundfont*  all I have right now is the one from Nando Florestan, which is useable for now i guess hehe.

Still haven\'t been able to access the site these things are posted on...maybe my firefox setup just hates it or something *shrug*

ice caves is nice but the first one sounded 2 gameboy like and would never fit ps (in my opinion).

ice caves sounds dwarfish 2 me, and would fit a dwarfish cave/viliage or a mountin.
keep more music coming!

p.s. wat program/software did u use???

The thing that hit me about the first one is the sounds. *CLICK, CLICK* File Type: .mid

 :@#\ :@#\ :@#\

OK, On RPG Tsukuru games the .mid sounds like mp3 due to the emulation, but .mid for PS emulation? Naw.  >:(

thats exactly what I was going to say Baldur.  Sounds exactly like Runescape.

@shorty: That would really make my day :P

Well, RS uses .mid music file formats too... I'm NOT a big fan of .mid

Thought I might try my hand at remixing the battle theme (http://www.snapdrive.net/files/80135/Battle%20thinger.mp3). Hope you didn't mind. Sounds a little less like midi now.

Thanks, although I think I could have done a little more work with it. Mostly just droped the drums from it and changed to different insterments and such. I did not actually change the midi it's self other than the drums. So kudos to Ahriman for the nice midi to work with.
