I\'m not sure if this is specific to Linux but I\'m a Linux user so I figured I\'d post this issue here to avoid any confusion.
Here are my system specs:
Fedora Core 5 Linux
Kernel: 2.6.16-1.2080_FC5 i686
RAM: 1 GB Dual Channel DDR1
Processor: 2.2 Ghz Intel Celeron
GPU: 256 MB Nvidia GeForce FX 5500(not overclocked)
I had to use the fix that was recently posted in the Fedora Core 5 sticky to get Planeshift to install and I\'m playing the game with no real issues except occasional freezing, which I\'ve seen posts about so I\'m waiting on a patch for that. Anyway, my reason for posting is to let you know that, with these system specs, the tree models look distorted like they\'re not properly reflecting the environment around them. Here is a screenshot (http://147.133.202.76:8002/Pictures/buggytreemodels.jpg)
It\'s not really affecting my gameplay I just figured I\'d let you know it was going on so you could look into it.

Hmm, looks like the transparency is not working correctly or something strange like that. You wings look ok so it might be something specific to that tree.

Cool, yeah I didn\'t notice it except on 3 or 4 trees around the beginner town. I\'m new so I\'m not yet acquainted with the name of everything yet.

An old and well known problem. See bugtracker, bugs #731, #1480, #1622. Some info is also there -> Trees outside Hydlaa (http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=22153&boardid=33).
