I'm happy to announce the Guild KidsCorner. This is a special guild for young inhabitants of Yliakum.
The goal is to do some family-life (RP) here in Yliakum and to preserve the children from violent way of living.
Structure:
1.) Adult Master (Smix)
The next 2 levels of roles will be the:
2.) Parent
3.) Teacher
which are the supervising characters for this guild and called the "Adult" group.
"Parents" will have the same rights as the "Adult". "Teacher"s are not allowed to remove Kids from the guild.
The following group are the "Tween":
4.) Tween
5.) Tutor
6.) Student
These are the "Children":
7.) Teenager
8.) School
9.) Kindergarden
The "Guild Rules" are simple:
1.) This is a democratic guild (e.g. "Parent"s have the same rights as "Adult")
2.) We are friendly and social (e.g. "Guild-Points" can be earned by helping)
3.) If possible, we don't use weapons (for hunting allowed, for fun prohibited)
4.) Challenges are allowed, but with no weapons (melee only)
5.) Cheating is pohibited and will punished by banning from the guild
6.) Pro- and demoting is allowed to group "Adult" abd "Teacher"
7.) Inviting is allow to group "Tween" and "Adult"
8.) "Real Life" is called "Galaxy"
9.) Chatting should be in well readable pronounciation (Not THX, use "Thanks a lot")
10.) Chatting in native language is allowed in "Group Window", by rare use in "Guild Window", too
11.) Stealing NPC is prohibited by law
12.) Shouting nonsense will be punished with demoting
13.) Guild-Level depends not exactly on "Galaxy"-age. It depends on Guildpoints and skills.
14.) Rude language is prohibited by law
15.) Wearing weapons on public places (e.g. Hydlaa, Ojaveda) is prohibited by law. It's only allowed where you are able t fight
16.) Highjacking of NPC is prohibited by law
17.) "Blocking" of NPC is prohibited, you should ask for turns
18.) You should introduce yourself in this member area

Guild Goals:
- Solve quests
- Explore Yliakum
- Show the non violent way of living
- Have a lot of fun
- Guild Games

Woo! I don't think we've ever had a guild for young generations before! This is an awesome idea, and I wish you much luck :) I hope this too inspires players to dabble with RP through younger characters, which can be really fun and challenging.

Allthough I know this will be a hard job, I am sure that it's worth to do.
Two of my Children (RL age: 4 1/2 and 12) are living in Yliakum, too (Kamita & Chatos).
They have a lot of fun on playing childrens games here.
I know: When they are old enough they will leave this guild to go their own way.
And that's ok, but I hope that when they are old enough to be teacher or parent, they will come back to KidsCorner and do my job.
Maybe Smix will be to old than, to climb over roofs ;)

hmm like the idea of a guild that would be oriented on the younger generation IC, but not totaly sure thats the idea here and not to fond of guilds made for OOC reasons.

Finally Irunor has a guild he can join (he is a young Enki boy who lost his family in a now closed Dsar).

Oh wow what an awesome idea. I can't wait to see where this guild goes. At first I was put off by the name but after reading what the guild is about.... well I am excited about it. :woot: <~~~ See excited. :P

How do you mean how do you mean?? I don't like guilds that are made for OOC reasons in RPG. Mostly becuase those guilds to often turn out to have no IC reason to exist and thats annoying when roleplaying. Don't feel however I should need to explain such things everytime Karyuu :P

I think what he means is that he thinks the guild might really be for real-life kids, not kid characters.

I was honestly curious why you thought that this guild was created for OOC purposes, because I didn't feel much of that. The guild is for young inhabitants of Yliakum, as the original post states. If we allow someone to own a guild that was originally meant to "protect" players from being invited into other guilds, we surely can have a guild that is aimed at younger players who may play characters close to their age, as well as older players who enjoy the challenge RPing children can bring.

Indeed we have both: real-life kids and kid characters, but the goal is to help real-life kids.
The original intention was to create a guild for real-life kids, to make simple roleplay for them possible (e.g. with native language) and to do special activities with them (e.g. hide and seek).
One of the main reasons is to teach them a natural language in Yliakum and forums and not to speak about OOC, IC, RPG and with other abreviations.
To exercise real live in Yliakum, I think children have a right to life here. That's my opinion and the children have a lot of fun.
There are other aliances like SCoY and Militia, which are not guild-organized, but we have decided to do it in this way.

In real life, Irunor is not at all a child anymore... Playing a young character is just as challenging as playing anything else you aren't in real life - only a bit more unusual than many stereotypes, as far as I got to know the Yliakum population in general.

The idea is original ...
And thinking of it, suppose you could create a "young" character (which appeared as a child). Would it "grow" as time passed? It might be something which could enhance the RP storylines within PS... Perhaps something for the developers to think about. But my fantasy is running awat with me ...
I'm curious how this Guild will develop!

We (me and Smix :) ) are thinking about splitting the guild into Galaxy (RL) and Yliakum (RP) groups:
The "Tween" group will be the Yliakum (RP-children):
4.) Tween
5.) Tutor
6.) Student
The "Children" will be the Galaxy (RL-children):
7.) Teenager
8.) School
9.) Kindergarden
We will make some experience and experiments in the next time to get some practice and information.
Currently we are trying a Teamspeak conversation with the Galaxy children. It' hard but sucessful.
So, let's the guild and children grow slowly to have a long time much fun.

Well I keep thinking it's strange to have a guild like this. Now you will have a guild with people who are "tutors" who play children and "teenagers" who play grownups making it a guild of grownups being tought by the children??
I mean atleast think of a way to give ranks that make sence RPwise aswell.

Anyhow I see it working a lot bette rif you give the RLkids the ranks of things like protector or teacher. Making them the IC protectors while OOC it's the otherway around. That sounds a lot more fun and gives them a purpose and a way to have the people playing the children more involved in roleplaying becuase one of the children is in trouble again and needs someone to help fix it.
Would give you an instant obeserver to see how the person is doing aswell. ;)
