I just finished my very first task, and I can't wait to see the result \\o//. I already got a new one (which I am not so happy about but that's life :oops:), and I hope to finish it quite soon.
But when do you become a member, and what is the main difference between member and porspect?
I tried to look for the information on the Nexus site, but they only say that they hope to have me as a member soon (so do I).
Thank you for your explanations and any help you can give this poor distracted girl! :)

You become a WTB (want-to-be) team member once all your test tasks are finished, and the speed and quality of that finish is liked :} I think there are two test tasks total, though there may be more sometimes. Once you are a member you continue with assignments, but you also have all information about development - what goes on, what the plans are, etc. When you are a prospect, you're in an application stage where your work is judged for the final decision.
WTB members become full developers once they have proven their dedication and skills - likely to take a few years :}

So basically the work I do is just a test and won't be used? :'(

Oh, woops :} Sorry if that's how I made it seem. If your work is good (which is bound to be so if you get accepted) of course it will be used in the game!

Ok, I am more releived now! \\o// i can get to work again and get the new stuff done! Hope I manage to do it... I hate working on little guys... 8)

I've seen your work and I absolutely loved it :} Keep it up!
*edited to add* That's a good question - I think I was accepted on February 17th, according to my IRC logs. So I'm still a very recent addition to the team myself.

Helm, just give time at time :-) I am sure if you do a great work you will see you will become a WTB really soon.
When you become WTB you get some quite nice "advantage", for example, if you join IRC you can join the -devs channel where all the team members are and you can participate in the weekly meetings.
Just for the chronicles - I know Helm was not interested though :D - I join PS team as WTB the 21th of July :-)
