  ??? Hmmm... well with so little rules it is hard to know how to judge the signature and then come to a decision. What should we be voting on? Should the signature represent planeshift? Or can it just be any theme? How many times can you vote? When is the deadline for voting on the signatures? I have many more questions, but I am not sure if these ones will be address as Karyuu had already made a point that the contest needed a little more guide lines, yet none were provided.

 :) I personally think the people who have entered should not be able to vote. Because I feel this way I will not be voting. Good luck to everyone who entered.  It will be interesting to see the out come.

Nividia, contests usually have a lot more guidelines. For example, are we voting for their overall aesthetic designs? For their wit? If things are really open and anyone can do whatever they want (with like two rules at most, as is the case here), they usually don't generate enough interest. Take a look at the Unofficial Fan Art Contests, for example. They are so clear and so concise that people have no doubts as to what the aim is.

This is a little too ambiguous.

You can vote on them all isnt that obvious, how dumb can people be??

I stayed out of this, up until now.  You can have your little contest all you want with your lack luster rules and guidelines that really make this whole mess a waste of time and forum space, but hey, run it anyway you want.

Except when you start to citisize others.  Lets blow those little words you put in your post up so that they are readable shall we?  "obvious, how dumb can people be??"  Hmm, how dumb can people be.  I don't know.  Is it dumb to ask simple questions about what we are to judge our opinions on if we should decide to participate in your little sharade?  I certainlly don't think so.  And why was it so small and in yellow text?  You were trying to hide it?  Not like anyone with a text editor can't simply copy it and increase the font size on it to read it.

I question the way the votes are counted.  There's no proof other than you to say who wins.  We are supposed to take your word for it.  After that little commit, your word means nothing to me.  Have fun with your little meaningless contest, I doubt  you'll get much reponse from people they way you are heading, but you can always proove me wrong.

Have a nice day.

(1)  ??? Yes it is painfully obvious that I can vote on the signatures. To your little comment about being dumb, that was a little uncalled for. I am not going to get angry and call you names  but you should look at your own lack of smarts before you start pointing out others.  Especially when nothing I have said has been anything but questions. Dumb people don't ask questions. Speaking of which are you having a hard time answering these simple questions? You just made yourself look like an ass, and that was good enough for me.

(2) Did you read my post at all?  The issue wasn't IF I could vote. It was WHAT should I be voting on? The graphics? The obvious skills it took to put the signature together? Should I not vote on certain signatures because they don't represent planeshift? Am I voting on creativity? Basically WHAT are we voting on.

There are no rules or guide lines. Is me voting on the signature my daughter made but my husband posted voting for friends? I am only trying to be fair in how I judge, only I can't find a fair way to do it. This is why I choose to not vote. I think it was a good decision.

[Edit] I was thinking about it and I would like my signature removed from this contest. I don't want to be apart of it as I don't trust that the person who is running it won't give my signature a fair chance. What leads me to believe this? A personal attack that was very immature, and now I feel as though there are personal feelings involved. Please Nividia take my signature out. I was showing support in the begining but after your words I don't feel you deserve any.

This contest really looks like a joke to me, I'd like to withdrawl my entry also.
I realize you are trying to do something constructive here but it seriously lacks some details
and seems like not much thought was put into it.

That sentence makes absolutely no sense at all and is way outta line and your teenie weenie font
insults my intelligence. I can imagine how Zorbels must feel. Good luck.[/color]

I, myself, can't understand why the number of votes for quotings or Draklar isn't going through the roof.

...Also why to people insist on typing in colour, pisses me off.

Possibly because it is difficult to read with some themes :}

Ummm...guys I know. I was joking.  :-X

My sister sent me this screenshot after I had a discussion with Narita, in the  Shadow in the Hills critique thread. Narita discribed to me how difficult it was to read, at first I couldn't understand what she was talking about.  When my sister sent the shot I then understood why Narita was having difficulties. Thing is I use the default theme, and I like it very much for the colors. I cannot help that the purple doesn't show up well on Karyuu's theme. The only thing I can suggest to solve this issue of having it not so hard to read is to take the curser and highlight the text.

As I see it, it is just people trying to be different (thus seeking attention)... different isnt something you try to be its something you are. So basically those people are just lame...

Not that I'm having a go, just how i see things.

off topic ftw!

Well actually I don't post in blue for attention, just to be different so I'm just going to keep on pissing Drey off and keep posting in blue. Seems to me the topic for this thread changed a bit too.  ;D

I can't find a deadline for the voting to end. Is it listed somewhere and I missed it?

That's kind of the most important thing for now.

Well nice to know you feel that way, now let me tell you the REAL reason I post in color. I am not a sheep. I don't follow the flock. Yes of COURSE I do it to be different. I like that I have personality. Plus I adore the color purple and I use the default skin so it looks nice. So in plain english I use it cause it makes ME happy. As for doing it to get attention .. Drey give me a friggin break! I don't need the color in my posts to get attention on these forums and you damn well know it. I just have to make an issue out of something ...... To just rack it up to me wanting attention because I like to use color, that is just so sad. It is a weak argument, oh and not to mention petty. Sorry Drey I would believe you weren't having a go ...  if you didn't try and insult as you stated your point, but you did.

*walks way shaking her head*

A deadline for voting?  Guidelines for what makes a winning sig? I suppose the contest would need these things.  Since there seems to be nothing more than a decent idea followed with a 'dumb' snarky remark to those who are participating, some off-topic nit-picking and such ... please excuse my entry as well.

I would be more than happy to support and participate in a contest coordinated by someone more mature and experienced with following through with things.

I think purple font is a hell of a lot better than wee-little yellow font, anyhow.  :P

Probably best not to post things you do not mean. People have a tendancy to read what is written.

@Santiago: I agree.

@Nividia Stormlance: I am very pleased to hear you didn't mean it. I am sorry th contest didn't work out but perhaps you would like to hold another? It just needs abit rules and guide lines. If you need help, I will more than happily lend a hand, or my text and thoughts. It is up to you. :)

Or you can save time on your posting by dropping the colour tags :P

I tend to skip over anyone who writes in color.  If you're going to use a color however, at least be kind enough to use one that is not bright.  I mean, seriously, that's just not being very considerate to those of us with...sensitive eyes..
