Title: download, please help if yer smart!

my download is slow, very very slow it says 17:10 hours remaining is there any way to speed this up i cant leave my computer on that long
also, can i turn the computer off and still have it load (i have dial up)

There is no way that you can turn your computer off and still be connected to something :} Computers just don't work that way.

How are you downloading, through BitTorrent, or a mirror? Have you tried other mirrors that may be faster?

bit torrent, its still only at 11.8% loaded :(

The speed you get with BitTorrent often depends on how many people there are sharing the download. It may be faster if you choose a mirror to download from.

Try the new fast mirror here: New fast mirror for Planeshift! (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=23368.0). It might be that there are not too many BitTorrent users seeding anymore.

Dial-up isn't known for high-speeds, so unfortunately there isn't much more that we can suggest. You may want to use a download manager that will let you stop and resume downloads if you can't leave your computer on for too long.
